Kristen Stewart has responded to the Joker casting rumours that have been circulating.
The star’s fans are keen for the actress to play the DC Comics character in future Batman movies.
In a chat with Variety’s Clayton Davis on the Award Circuits podcast, the 31-year-old said: “I mean, I love the energy behind that.

“But, dude, it’s really been done so well.”
Remarking on the social media campaign, she continued: “I love that gusto.
“Let’s figure something else out. You know what I mean? I’m totally down to play, like, a freaky, scary person.
“Not ‘no,’ but not the most stoked I’ve ever been. Let’s do something new.”
The rumours all started when the latest trailer for The Batman came out which shows her former Twilight co-star, and ex-boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, taking on the role of the iconic superhero.

Many took to social media and speculated whether the Joker could have a secret role in the movie and, of course, this led to people questioning who would play the villain.
One person tweeted: “K Stew. The answer is K Stew.”
Another added: “The only answer I will accept is Kristen Stewart.”
“Honestly tired of live-action Joker at this point, but would be there day 1 for Kristen Stewart [as] Joker,” a third commented.
Pitching in, a fourth wrote: “The only reason Hollywood won’t let Kristen Stewart play the Joker is that they’re terrified of how twisted her mind is. She’s so method we’d all wake up in Gotham City.”
