It is believed that he spent 12 hours in custody and was released on Monday, pending further investigations.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: “At around 1640hrs on Sunday, 31 July, officers met a flight that had arrived at London City Airport from Glasgow.

“A 39-year-old man was arrested for a public order offence. He was taken into custody at an East London police station and was released under investigation the following day.”

Ryan was a part of the boyband Blue, alongside Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa, and they sold over 14million records.

They formed in 2000 and took a hiatus in 2004. The band had chart-topping hits such as ‘All Rise,’ ‘Guilty,’ and ‘One Love’. They had a comeback in 2011 and released some new music, but have not put anything out since.

However, they recently announced they will be releasing a new album along with a comeback tour.

In a post on Twitter back in April, the band said: “Finally! We are pleased to announce our sixth studio album ‘Heart & Soul’ is not only on its way but you can preorder it now on the link below.”

The album is set to release in the winter, which will coincide with their nationwide tour that will celebrate 20 years of ‘All Rise’.

Ryan moved to Spain in 2020 with his now wife Verity, and the couple have recently welcomed a baby daughter together.
