Leonardo DiCaprio and his girlfriend, Camila Morrone, have reportedly broken up and fans are convinced they know why.

The Oscar-winning actor had been dating the model for over four years, however, a source close to the pair told The Sun that they ‘ended their relationship over the summer’.

Fans of the star now have a theory that they broke up due to her age, as DiCaprio has notoriously never publicly dated a girl over the age of 25, which is how old Morrone turned earlier this year.

On Twitter, one person posted in relation to the news: “Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with girls as soon as they turn 25 is an ongoing study by Harvard.”

Another fan wrote: “The science is settled: Leonardo DiCaprio won’t date women over 25 years of age.”

A third posted on social media: “What’s up with Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with his every girlfriend as soon they turn 25???”

“There are three certainties in life: Death, Taxes, Leonardo DiCaprio breaking up with his girlfriend when she turns 25,” another added.

The Titanic star has had a number of high-profile relationships over the years, such as dating models Toni Garn and Shimon Peres, as well as actress Blake Lively, who is now married to Ryan Reynolds.

However, all these relationships ended either before they turned 25 or once they reached that age.

Morrone was quizzed on this theory during her relationship with DiCaprio.

She reportedly responded: “There’s so many relationships in Hollywood – and in the history of the world – where people have large age gaps. I just think anyone should be able to date who they want to date.”
