Mom to the UK‘s biggest family, Sue Radford, has revealed the eye-watering amount that they spend on groceries, after being taken to court over their $70,000 trip to Disney World.

The Radford Family, stars of the TV show 22 Kids and Counting, have revealed exactly how much their groceries cost, after heading to Florida to celebrate Sue’s 50th birthday earlier this year, with almost all of the gang.

And when you price-up a vacation to Disney for a family of four, contemplating 22 seems enormously expensive.

They are parents to Christopher, 36, Sophie, 31, Chloe, 30, Jack, 28, Daniel, 26, Luke, 25, Millie, 24, Katie, 22, James, 22, Ellie, 20, Aimee, 19, Josh, 18, Max, 16, Tillie, 15, Oscar, 14, Casper, 13, Alfie (stillborn), Hallie, 10, Phoebe, nine, Archie, eight, Bonnie, six, and Heidie, five.

One of the most common questions that Sue and husband Noel get asked, is how old they were when they welcomed their first member of the gang.

Writing in their book, ‘The Radfords: Making Life Count,’ Noel revealed that Sue first got pregnant when she was 13 years old.

He noted: “We were young and we were daft. But we wanted to continue as a couple.”

Along with their TV deal after rising to fame, the family are able to monetize their online content, with just over 535,000 followers on Instagram and 375,000 subscribers on YouTube.

But to the family’s horror, they returned from their $70,000 trip of a lifetime to a letter, which demanded that they go to court after the vacation.

The family was found guilty of failing to ensure that four of their children attended school regularly between March 24 and May 1, 2025.

They were fined $84 for each child, and ordered to pay $154 in court costs, adding an extra $988 to the total cost of their already-expensive vacation.

And it’s not just travel that’s expensive for the family-of-22.

Everyday essentials, such as groceries, presumably add up.

In a recent Instagram post, Sue revealed just how much the family spend in their average food shop.

Alongside a snap of her kitchen table with all their groceries, she noted that most people guessed it came in at around $260.

But in actual fact, the family’s weekly shop costs a whopping $490.

And although it’s likely to fluctuate throughout the year, that equates to an eye-watering $25,530 a year on weekly food shops.

I dread to think how much Christmas costs in the Radford household!
