Liz Truss’ controversial Jimmy Savile tweet has resurfaced online following the announcement she is the Prime Minister

People are taking to Twitter and blasting the leader of the Conservative Party, as she’s not removed a post regarding Savile’s death in October 2011.

It reportedly reads: “Used to see Jimmy Savile at the Flying Pizza on Street Lane, Roundhay. Always in good spirits. RIP.”

After Savile’s passing, in 2012, the TV and radio personality was exposed as a p**dophile and in the following year, he was branded one of the UK’s most prolific known s**ual predators by Scotland Yard and NSPCC.

Slamming Truss’ tweet, one questioned: “Why hasn’t this post been deleted @trussliz?”

“Ooo – this has aged well,” added another.

Sarcastically, a third said: “You’re such a good judge of character Liz.”

“Didn’t want to delete this one, eh Liz?” a fourth remarked.

A fifth joined in, commenting: “The excellent judge of character is about to pick the cabinet.”
