Fans of Lizzo have rushed to support the singer after she has been body shamed by a troll over a naked photo.

The ‘About Damn Time’ singer, whose real name is Melissa Vivianne Jefferson, is a four-time Grammy winner.

The 34-year-old is also recognised for being confident and proud of her body – while encouraging others to be the same.

This has led to the ‘Truth Hurts’ singer gaining a legion of fans and becoming one of the most adored celebrities around.

Lizzo’s fans have now come to the defence of the ‘Special’ artist after she was cruelly body shamed by a troll on social media over a resurfaced post.

She shared an unedited photo of herself without any clothing as part of a self-esteem social media campaign in 2021.

However, it has gone viral once again after someone posted the snap alongside a picture of themself while asking ‘me or Lizzo’ in the caption.

While it was an unnecessary shot at the ‘Good As Hell’ singer, it has backfired as a majority of people have said Lizzo.

One fan pens: “Lizzo is a beautiful woman, regardless of her size.

“She’s not only a talented singer but is a kind-hearted and hilarious person as well.”

Another person tweets: “Lizzo is a publicly kind and inspiring individual. Loving yourself and others should be the basis of humanity. She preaches that.”

“[She] desperately tried to body shame the gorgeous Lizzo,” claims a third.

While somebody else writes: “The shape of your body doesn’t define your character. It is your personality and how you treat others that define you. Lizzo, you go girl!”

“Body shaming is never OK,” slams someone else.

A sixth person explains: “Even if I didn’t know who Lizzo was, I definitely would choose her just based on the photo.

“She looks so loving and peaceful and full of light.”

The tweet has even caught the attention of Lizzo herself, who simply tweeted ‘Lizzo’.

The social media accounts of famous brands including PAC-MAN, Minions, Elmo and Crumbl Cookies have also said they would choose the ‘2 Be Loved’ singer.

The troll has deleted their tweet following the backlash they’ve faced.

This is not the first time Lizzo has had trolls attack her due to her appearance.

She’s been criticised about her size over the years, while some trolls have made remarks about her losing weight.

This has led to Lizzo hitting out at the body shamers by branding the comments ‘delusional’.

In a video posted to Instagram, the pop star says: “Artists are not here to conform to your beauty standards, artists are here to make art.

“And this body? Is art, and I’m going to do whatever I want with this body.”
