A Disney star has spoken out about replacing Daniel Craig as the next James Bond.

Many 007 fans are eager to find out who will play one of the most iconic roles in Hollywood.

Ever since Craig, 55, hung up the tuxedo in No Time To Die, countless actors have been linked to the part.

Now, one movie star who has been discussed as a potential replacement for the role has spoken publicly about the potential of being the next MI6 spy.

Check out what Roger Moore’s son said about who could play James Bond next…

Luke Evans, 44, is best known for playing Gaston in the live adaptation of Beauty and the Beast – along with starring in films such as Fast & Furious 6, Murder Mystery and Dracula.

He has long been touted as one of the names who could be the next Bond – along with the likes of Henry Cavill, Rege-Jean Page and Tom Hardy.

Evans has now spoken out about the possibility of being the first gay actor to play 007, and how it would be ‘boundary breaking’.

Speaking at the Wales Screen SummitThe Hobbit actor was asked about the possibility of playing the role, to which he responded (via BBC): “Nobody knows – that’s part of the fun of it all.

“For a Welsh boy, from the valleys – a gay kid from the valleys – is in that small group of actors that’s up for playing Bond.”

He even joked that he has already started taking bets on him becoming the next Bond, adding: “You may win some money, but don’t come to me when you lose it.”

This is not the first time Evans has addressed his chances of becoming the man to replace Craig.

In a previous interview with Bustle, he was asked if audiences were ready for a gay Bond, to which he questioned if ‘fans care enough’ about the character in the bedroom.

Evans commented: “I don’t know what the current temperature is with audiences, whether they care enough to worry about what James Bond does in the bedroom.

“I don’t think it really matters at all to the character if I’m really honest.”

While many actors have publicly said they would love to play James Bond, one actor who has distanced himself from the role is Idris Elba.

At one point he was the favourite to replace Craig and it seemed the role was his.

However, while promoting the new Luther film, he ruled himself out of the running.

He reportedly said (via Express): “We’ve been working on the television show for about 10 years and so the natural ambition is to take it to the big screen, and so we’re here with the first movie.

“You know, a lot of people talk about another character that begins with J and ends with B, but I’m not going to be that guy.

“I’m going to be John Luther. That’s who I am.”
