The 30-year-old has had a vertical line inked straight across his larynx in a vivid shade of red.

Since sharing his new look, people have taken to the comments to share their thoughts.

One follower said: “Machine Gun Kelly’s neck tattoo is giving me PTSD. It reminds me of when I used to do terrible in school and and the teacher would bring out the RED PEN.”

Another commented: “Looks stupid as hell.”

“Thought that was a legit slice in your neck,” a third person wrote.

A fourth asked: “Mate, what are you doing?”

Despite tons of negative comments, the photo of the rapper’s new tattoo has also received over 1.4million likes.

Singer Sam Smith also received mixed reviews when they shared a photograph of their new tattoo last week, which is a tribute to being non-binary.

The singer came out in 2019 after ‘a lifetime of being at war’ with their gender.

Their Instagram post read: “I’m so excited and privileged to be surrounded by people that support me in this decision but I’ve been very nervous about announcing this because I care too much about what people think.

“I understand there will be many mistakes and mis gendering but all I ask is you please please try. I hope you can see me like I see myself now. Thank you.

“P.s. I am at no stage just yet to eloquently speak at length about what it means to be non binary but I can’t wait for the day that I am. So for now I just want to be VISIBLE and open. If you have questions and are wondering what this all means I’ll try my best to explain…”
