Madeleine McCann’s parents have reportedly broken their silence on the ‘prime suspect’ in their daughter’s missing person case.
Kate and Gerry McCann are believed to be living in fear of forever being in the ‘dark’ as Christian B – the man suspected of abducting her – refuses to speak about their daughter’s disappearance.
According to The Sun, a family source said: “Police don’t tell us what’s going on, we’re in the dark because it’s an ongoing investigation.

“But if it is him, and there’s no direct and conclusive evidence he may never say a word.
“He’s not saying a word now.”
However, they reportedly added that there was some comfort in the fact that the 43-year-old German is already in prison for another crime.
They commented: “It may be, sadly, that we may never know what happened to Madeleine. But we hope to find out. We keep hoping after all these years.
“He’s locked up for other crimes, so at least he’s in the best place – in jail.”
In May 2007, three-year-old Madeleine McCann vanished from an apartment in Praia da Luz, during a family holiday to Portugal.
At the time, she had been sleeping alongside her two younger siblings, while her parents dined at a local tapas restaurant with friends.

Following her daughter’s disappearance, Kate McCann gave up her role as a GP. However, she reportedly ‘returned to help during the Covid pandemic’.
According to an insider, the mum decided to ‘throw herself’ back into work.
They told The Sun: “Kate’s back working as a doctor. She’s helping out at her local hospitals now and not doing any surgery work.
“She has thrown herself back into a full-time job to assist others in need.
“There’s such a demand for qualified medics during these unprecedented times.
“Kate’s enjoying doing her little bit to help but we hardly ever see her and Gerry now. They are both so busy.”
