Madonna fans say they have ‘lost respect’ for the singer after her latest Instagram post.
The 64-year-old ‘Like a Virgin’ star boasts 3.2 million followers on her TikTok account and 18.6 million on her Instagram.
However, she has been the subject of controversy due to her recent social media posts.
Whether it be licking a dog bowl, lipsyncing rap songs, twerking in her underwear, or posting racy snaps on Instagram, fans of the artist have been concerned about her behaviour.
While even Madonna’s most devoted fans have tried supporting her, the singer’s latest post might have gone too far.

In a montage of snaps shared on her Instagram, captioned ‘In the mood for love’, the ‘Papa Don’t Preach’ artist is seen posing in what appears to be a fur coat.
While it’s not been confirmed by the singer, fans have accused her of wearing real animal fur.
This has upset a large number of them, with some saying they’ve lost respect for the star.
One penned: “I had so much respect for her years ago for not eating and wearing animals. Now she’s promoting animal abuse. She’s gone to the pits!
“My children who [are] in their late teens and 20s think she’s a joke. They have no idea who she used to be. I’m struggling to remember too!”
A second person wrote: “Do whatever you want but please leave the animals alone. Wear your own skin.”
“I hope to God that’s fake fur,” someone else commented.

Another person fumed: “The murder of these helpless souls will be your end Madonna very bad karma all for what? Wake up, it’s 2022. NO FUR.”
While a fifth fan commented: “If that’s not fake fur, the backlash will be really deserved.”
Someone else expressed their disappointment by writing: “50 Dead Animals = 1 Fur Coat!!
“How are you talking about ‘love’ while wearing the fur of anally and vaginally electrocuted animals that spent their lives living in tiny faeces-covered cages, where they go insane?
“Such a disappointment from my childhood idol. With all the money you have, you’d think you’d find a better way to use it. I’m so disgusted!”
Madonna is yet to address the backlash on whether her coat is real fur or not.
Her post has also threatened to be a breach of Instagram’s strict no-nudity policy, as the final shot of the montage slipped below her cleavage before the clip faded to black.
If the post is considered a breach, the ‘Hung Up’ singer could potentially be banned from Instagram.

Despite the recent backlash she has suffered, the ‘Material Girl’ singer has hit back at the criticism aimed her way a couple of times.
Recently, she uploaded a TikTok video where she lipsyncs over a popular TikTok noise which says: “I would like to apologise… to absolutely nobody.”
She then proceeds to put her hand over her mouth and mimics giggling.
The TikTok noise goes on to say: “The only mistake I made is being too iconic.
“So keep fantasising… I’m not apologising.”
She then took to Instagram to address her ‘haters’ as she uploaded a selfie with the words ‘Stop bullying Madonna for enjoying her life’.
