A man has been arrested for allegedly threatening to blow up a McDonald’s when he realised that his order was missing sauce.
Robert Golwitzer Jr was taken to the police station on June 26 after he reportedly called up the fast-food branch, based in Ankeny, Iowa, at around 5.20pm and made violent threats, reports WHO 13.
Fortunately, officers managed to track down Golwitzer using the phone number he made the threats from and he apparently ended up confessing.
The 42-year-old was charged with a Class D felony for making a false report of an explosive or combustible device.
Golwitzer was then booked into the Polk County Jail but managed to get released on bond the following day.
It’s not the first time that a McDonald’s customer acted out of order.
Earlier this month, Cherysse Cleveland was arrested in Ohio after getting in an altercation with two members of staff.
The woman went into a fit of rage when she was told that she wouldn’t be allowed to mix three different flavours of slushy together.
Not taking no for an answer, Cleveland allegedly climbed over the restaurant’s counter and tried to make her own Slushie.
Before officers managed to get to the scene, the woman attacked two employees and had to be placed in handcuffs.
Cleveland was charged with two counts of misdemeanor assault. Plus, the judge told her that she was banned from visiting that particular McDonald’s branch again.
