A man has been filmed grabbing a shark in the ocean so that he could take a photo with it. However, onlookers were in disbelief as he pulled the shark’s jaw wide open.
Footage has emerged of a fearless swimmer as he snatched a shark from the ocean and then pried the beast’s mouth open; shockingly, he then posed for photos.
At Delaware’s Cape Henlopen State Park Beach, a man was recorded posing for photos with the creature that he had wrestled with his bare hands, after courageously approaching it in the ocean.
For a few seconds, the man held tightly onto the shark and then he preceded to hold its jaw wide open.
As he put on this show in the sea, onlookers looked on in amazement and many gasped in shock.
One woman can be heard screaming in the footage: “Wow, that’s a big ass shark!”
The video footage has recently been obtained by Fox5 and it shows that a crowd of people gathered around the beach to watch the man, completely astonished by his guts.
Despite the clip having cut after this moment, it has been reported that the man then released the shark back into the water.
Rachael Foster, a Delaware resident, posted the clip onto Facebook and it has since amassed 200,000 views.
She said: “It was so cool. And we come on the beaches a lot.
“Probably two to three times a week in fact – but ut we’ve never experienced anything like that.
“Everyone started yelling, ‘Shark, shark, get out of the water!
“It was so crazy, like a movie. Like Jaws.”
Close by to this scene, a 12-year-old boy has been hospitalised earlier this month due to being bitten by a shark.
Although he survived, the incident caused a surfing and swimming shutdown at Herring Point.
