Maren Morris is an American country music singer, songwriter, and record producer.
Born on April 10, 1990, in Arlington, Texas, she gained widespread recognition with her major-label debut album, ‘Hero’, released in 2016.
The album’s lead single, ‘My Church’, earned her significant acclaim and won a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance.
She is also a member of the country supergroup The Highwomen, alongside Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby.
And now, Morris has shared an emotional personal update with fans, coming out as bisexual following her recent divorce…

1. Billie Joe Armstrong
Billie Joe Armstrong from Green Day came out as bisexual in 1995.
He told the Advocate, per NME: “I think I’ve always been bisexual. I mean, it’s something that I’ve always been interested in. I think people are born bisexual, and it’s just that our parents and society kind of veer us off into this feeling of ‘Oh, I can’t.’ They say it’s taboo.”
2. Björk
Björk has been open about being bisexual since the early 2000s.
In 2004, she told Diva magazine: “I think everyone’s bisexual to some degree or another; it’s just a question of whether or not you choose to recognize it and embrace it.”
4. Thandie Newton
Thandie Newton opened up about her bisexuality in 2008, telling the Advocate: “We’re all potentially bisexual; it all depends on your circle, your upbringing, and all kinds of things. Or maybe I’m just talking about myself. I could’ve easily fallen in love with a woman over a man.”
5. Drew Barrymore
Drew Barrymore came out as bisexual in 2003, telling Contact Music: “Do I like women s**ually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual.”
6. Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood publicly came out as bisexual in 2012.
She tweeted about her sexuality, simply stating, “Yes, I am bisexual.”
7. Lady Gaga
Lady Gaga has consistently spoken about her bisexuality, stating in 2013 per the Huffington Post: “You know what? It’s not a lie that I am bisexual and I like women.”
8. Vanessa Carlton
Vanessa Carlton came out as bisexual in 2010 during a performance at Nashville Pride, saying: “I, myself, am a proud bisexual woman.”
9. Megan Fox
Megan Fox discussed her bisexuality in 2009 with Esquire, saying: “I think people are born bisexual and they make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society.”
10. Maren Morris
Maren Morris is the latest celebrity to come out as bisexual.
Smiling at the camera in a black sleeveless top and sporting a stylish bob haircut with bangs, Morris shared her news on Instagram. She wrote: “PHOENIX, AZ. Happy to be the B in LGBTQ+. Happy pride ?.”
Morris’s declaration comes after her divorce from fellow country singer-songwriter Ryan Hurd last October, citing irreconcilable differences after a five-year marriage.
The couple, who share a four-year-old son, legally separated the same day as the divorce filing.
Their marriage concluded in January this year, with the dissolution finalized.
