Margot Robbie Was ‘Only Paid $12.5Million’ For ‘Barbie’ Role

Margot Robbie has been dubbed the ‘highest-paid woman in Hollywood’ after her Barbie salary was ‘leaked’.

According to Variety, the 32-year-old actress is set to make a whopping ‘$12.5million paycheck’  playing the main part in the upcoming romantic comedy film.

Robbie beat Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, who will reportedly ‘make $10million’ for the impending Enola Holmes 2.

Although the Wolf of Wall Street star is listed as the ‘highest-paid woman in Hollywood,’ she’s only ranked as #16, as she’s tied with Ryan Gosling and The Office’s Steve Carell.

Variety’s ranking lists Tom Cruise as having the biggest paycheck, as he reportedly made a staggering $100million from his role in Top Gun: Maverick.

The Hollywood actor is followed by Will Smith ($35million) in Emancipation and Leonardo DiCaprio for Killers of the Flower Moon at $30million.

Of the entire 26 celebrities that are named, five are women. This list also includes Emily Blunt, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Anya Taylor-Joy.

After reading the list, people have taken to Twitter and said Robbie should have been ‘listed higher’.

One tweeted: “She has more Oscar nominations than 3/4 of these men. Bye.”

“Yeah a lot of these actors get box office but still Margot deserves more than Diesel and Hemsworth, in my humble opinion,” a second agreed.

A third weighed in, writing: “Lots of headlines today about Margot Robbie becoming the highest-paid actress in Hollywood for Barbie. On the other hand, the headline could also be: ‘Highest-paid actress still just making the same as a supporting-role actor’.”

“Margot Robbie being the highest paid actress on that list with just $12million. Laughing my a** off,” a fourth wrote.
