Matt Hancock was left screaming in fear after being forced into underground tunnels for his first Bushtucker Trial on I’m A Celebrity.
In a preview ahead of Wednesday’s (November 9) episode, the highly anticipated late arrival took on a trial called ‘The Beastly Burrows’, attempting to win stars for his new campmates.
The controversial Tory MP and former health secretary, 44, was joined by comedian Seann Walsh, 36, as they crawled through pitch-black tunnels.

Hancock and Walsh’s attempt to find the stars was hindered by gross liquid and, of course, a whole host of critters being dropped on them from above.
Both can be heard screaming as bugs and sludge are dumped all over them, though the clip does not allude to whether or not they were successful in the trial.
Hosts Ant and Dec appear to find the duo’s plight particularly amusing as they struggle to navigate the tunnels, with Walsh telling Hancock: “I’m not a Sat Nav!”

Before entering the jungle, Hancock said he is most petrified of facing snakes in the I’m A Celeb trials.
He said: “I have never come across a snake at close quarters and so I am pretty worried about anything to do with snakes.
“I am not claustrophobic or at least I haven’t been found to be but that’s the thing about I’m A Celebrity – it is the unknown.

“I’ve watched the show over the years, I love how it gets down to the essence of people but it’s really entertaining as well.”
Talking about why he decided to finally accept an offer to take part in this year’s series, Hancock said he is hoping to dispel misconceptions about what politicians are really like.

He also stressed that he would never have said yes without the reassurance that he would be notified if there was an emergency in his constituency.

He said: “When I got approached to take part, I did think long and hard about it but one of the reasons that I felt able to say yes was because the IAC team have put in place a system so I can be reached at any point on any urgent constituency matters.
“Lots of people have a view on me from being health secretary in the pandemic dealing with some very difficult issues, but that’s not the whole story.
“I am looking forward to throwing myself into it all like I do everything in life. You can’t hide anything in the jungle, you see somebody warts and all.”

Speaking after Tuesday’s show, Ant said of Hancock’s arrival: “It is great, it is very exciting.
“Someone said about Matt’s smile at the end (looking odd on the show)…I know what they mean. I reckon there were a lot of people shouting at their telly.
“But yeah let’s see what he is like. I don’t know the man. I don’t know anything about him but I am sure we are about to find out!”
