Maxine Klibingaitis has tragically died.
She won a MUFF award for Best Supporting Female Actor for her role as an unhinged, diabetic punk woman in the film Moonlight & Magic in 2007.
Sadly, a social media post has confirmed her death at the age of just 58.

The news of Klibingaitis’ passing has been released by the Partners In Crime Facebook page, associated with the Prisoner show.
It says that Klibingaitis passed away ‘suddenly and unexpectedly’.
The Partners In Crime post sent condolences to Maxine’s son, Zane, as well as her family and friends.
It read: “We regrettably announce that actress Maxine Klibingaitis has passed away today.
“Maxine played the much-loved character Bobbie Mitchell in Prisoner, Terry Inglis in Neighbours and many other roles in Australian TV.
“Maxine was only 58. We send our sincere condolences to her son, Zane and Maxine’s family and friends.”

It added: “For those asking, it was very sudden and unexpected. That’s all we know for now.”
The page’s author has also been forced to emphasise that the upsetting news is not a hoax and that Klibingaitis’ death had come as a shock to those who knew her.
Klibingaitis was a well-known figure in the Australian entertainment industry and was well-loved for her performances.
Many people have taken to social media and paid tribute to the beloved star.
One person writes: “Oh no, I’m so saddened. Such a beautiful soul.
“Very grateful to have met her in person a few times.”
Another adds: “Absolutely heartbreaking and shocking. I was only chatting to Maxine a few weeks ago on phone about catching up next time I am down in Melbourne.
“That won’t be happening. My condolences to her family, friends and fans.”
While somebody else says: “Gutted to hear of the death of Maxine Klibingaitis today. Absolutely loved Bobbie Mitchell in Prisoner, and Terri brought all the drama in Neighbours’ first year.”
Klibingaitis played several roles in Australian TV shows, including the popular Bobbie Mitchell in Prisoner and Terry Inglis in Neighbours.

She debuted on Neighbours in 1985, during the show’s early days.
Klibingaitis portrayed a mechanic who was invited out on a date by now-legendary character Paul Robinson, with the two later getting married.
Terry ended up in prison after shooting Paul, and her character ultimately took her own life while behind bars.
Neighbours concluded its 37-year run on broadcast TV last year after Channel 5 decided to axe the show.
Amazon Freevee subsequently took up the series, with filming having restarted in April.
The new series will air on the ad-supported streaming service later in 2023, while a number of familiar faces have already signed up to return.
