McDonald’s has announced a brand new collaboration with The Elf on the Shelf, just in time for Christmas.
The fast-food giant has gotten into the festive spirit by launching its first-ever The Elf on the Shelf Happy Meal, alongside its festive foods and drinks menu.
This will cost just £3 and offer customers a choice of Fish Fingers, Chicken McNuggets or Veggie Dippers with an Apple & Grapefruit Bag – or a Carrot Bag side, plus, drink options including water, milk or a Fruit Shoot.

The Elf on the Shelf landed in the UK in 2009 and has been a festive favourite among children – and parents – ever since.
The tradition involves Scout Elves from the North Pole bringing families extra Christmas cheer and reporting back to Santa each night before finding a new hiding spot.
So let’s take a look at what toys are available in the McDonald’s Elf on the Shelf collaboration, and how long it’s on for:
What are the McDonald’s Elf on the Shelf toys? How many are there?
Every McDonald’s across the UK will allow customers to choose from one of 10 plush toy characters.
These include The Elf on the Shelf Scout Elves, Elf Pets and Elf Mates.
The Elf on the Shelf characters value kindness, fun and curiosity – inspiring the new merry range of Happy Meal toys.
The plush toys come with hooks, which allow them to double up as Christmas decorations.
They also come with poke-out-and-keep North Pole certificates, which can have a child’s name written on them and are signed by Father Christmas himself.
The toys also feature fun facts – such as, ‘Did you know Elf Pets Reindeer’s need your Christmas cheer to help Santa’s sleigh soar?’.
As an alternative to the toys, the collaboration also offers Happy Meal buyers the option of one of two books – ‘Merry Christmas, It’s Your Elf’ or ‘Merry Christmas, It’s Your Reindeer’.
There are also themed activity sheets and games available online on the McDonald’s Family Hub, and an activity pack envelope for drive-thru customers.
Keeping things festively green, both toy and book products are 100 per cent sustainable, with all non-sustainable plastic removed from the Happy Meals.
How long is the McDonald’s Elf on the Shelf collaboration on for? Where can I get it?
The collaboration is available both in restaurants or through McDelivery via the McDonald’s app, Uber Eats or Just Eat – but those wanting to get their hands on The Elf on the Shelf Happy Meal will have to be quick.
They will only be available until Tuesday, December 20.
