Meghan Markle, who is being sued by her half-sister, Samantha, was reportedly ‘pulled aside by The Queen’ after making a ‘complaint’.

According to Royal author Katie Nicholl, the Duchess of Sussex was left ‘upset’ when she was sampling dishes for her wedding to Prince Harry, as she could apparently ‘taste Scotch egg’ in what was meant to be an ‘egg-free’ dish.

Speaking on Yahoo Life’s The Royal Box, she claimed: “It was the run-up to the wedding and Meghan had gone to Windsor Castle to taste some of the food that was going to be served at the reception, and she insisted on there being a macrobiotic alternative.

“Meghan got very upset when she felt that she could taste egg in a dish when she was told there was no egg in there, and she said, ‘No, I can taste it, I can taste there’s egg in this dish’.

“There was a bit of an upset when suddenly The Queen walked in, because of course this was Windsor Castle, this was her home, and she just quietly took Meghan to the side and said ‘Meghan, in this family we don’t speak to people like that’.”

The report comes amid claims that her Majesty is ‘desperate’ to see the Royal couple’s daughter, Lilibet, in person.

According to The Express, Royal author Brian Hoey has said that the 95-year-old wants to meet her nine-month-old great-granddaughter, who lives in Montecito, California.

He reportedly said: “I have heard from people I know within the Royal household she really would desperately like to see the baby in this way.”

The biographer added that it is hoped the ‘rift’ between the couple and the Royal Family ‘can be healed’ if the Monarch meets her 12th great-grandchild.
