Since being shared, the post has accumulated more than 16,000 likes and hundreds have taken to the comments and sent well wishes.

“Stay strong Merlin,” added another.
“Just remember that you can’t keep a good man down for very long. You will be back on your feet before you know it,” a third reassured.
A fourth commented: “We are all rooting for you Merlin.”
The 46-year-old revealed to his followers in April that he had undergone surgery to have his stage three tumour removed.
At the time, he wrote: “And home again. 6 days from surgery. #NHS #davincisurgicalsystem is quite something.
“It’s taken weeks off hospitalisation time! Road to recovery next. #cancer #bowelcancer #stoma.”
Griffiths announced his bowel cancer diagnosis back in September last year.
He opened up to the Sunday Mirror about the difficult discussion he had with his seven-year-old daughter, Alix.
Recalling the chat, the bartender said: “I said, ‘Dad’s got cancer’. She said, ‘Is that bad, Dad?’.
“I said, ‘Yes, it’s very serious but I think it should be okay. Modern medicine’s great and if anything changes I’ll let you know.”
He went on to add: “She understands that people can die but I told her cancer comes in different varieties and in different ways too – and that many people come through it.”
