Millie Bobby Brown has said that she no longer believes that the Earth is flat.

The 18-year-old actress is best known for playing Eleven in Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things.

And her performances on the show saw her nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards.

The actress first shared her thoughts about the flat Earth theory back in 2018, while on a TikTok live stream.

Watch as Millie Bobby Brown says she thinks the Earth is flat…

Brown, who was aged 14 at the time, was asked by a fan if she believed our planet was flat.

She claimed to have watched a YouTube video from Shane Dawson about the divisive topic and said: “Guys, there are so many facts that it’s flat.

“I mean think about it, like think about it okay?

“Guys I don’t even know, I think I am a – what do they call it?

“Um. A flat – I think they call it a flat Earther.”

Now, the actress has spoken out about that viral moment in Vanity Fair’s Lie Detector Test.

When asked if she still believes in the theory, Brown quickly said ‘no’, before giving the lie detector technician an awkward glance.

While the test showed she was telling the truth, Brown followed up by claiming that she has never actually seen the curve of the Earth while on an aeroplane.

She said: “I’ve never seen the… you know sometimes when you’re on a plane and you can see it?

“The curve? I’ve not seen that yet.”

The technician then stepped in to remind Brown that she probably has seen satellite images of our curved planet.

The Earth’s shape theories stem from ancient human civilisations, where they once believed the planet was flat.

Since then, scientists and astronomers have proven that the Earth is round, though flat Earthers have again risen to prominence on social media.

In other news, Britney Spears reacted angrily to Millie Bobby Brown’s wish to play her in a biopic last week.

While promoting her Enola Holmes 2, Brown appeared on The Drew Barrymore Show.

That’s when Barrymore asked Brown what was on her ‘bucket list’ as a filmmaker and producer.

Brown said she would like to ‘play a real person’, before mentioning Spears as a potential focus.

Despite the well-meaning nature of her comments, ‘Toxic’ singer Spears clearly didn’t take it well.

In a lengthy Instagram post in which she talked about her relationship with her parents, the ‘Womanizer’ star appeared to reference Brown saying she wants to make a film about her.

Spears wrote: “I hear about people wanting to do movies about my life… dude I’m not dead!!!

“Although it’s pretty f***ing clear they preferred me dead.”
