Police have given an update on Gogglebox star Ellie Warner’s boyfriend, Nat Eddleston, who is reportedly ‘on a life support machine’ with ‘a broken neck and collapsed lungs’.

He was struck by a car outside Leeds city centre on March 18, and West Yorkshire Police told Leeds Live: “The pedestrian remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

It comes as The Sun claim a source said: “Ellie is understandably in pieces and everyone is just hoping and praying Nat comes through this.

“Nat is Ellie’s absolute world. She has been totally overwhelmed with messages of love and support. She has barely left the hospital since this happened and Nat is getting brilliant care and treatment.”

They also added that the 31-year-old is ‘living hour by hour’ and ‘praying things get better’.

A family member previously told the outlet that Eddleston was on life support and had ‘possible brain damage’.

Warner has appeared on the Channel 4 programme since 2015 with her sister. Her boyfriend made a brief appearance on the show during the first lockdown.

After the incident, fans rushed to the star’s social media to extend their good wishes, commenting on a picture of Eddleston from Valentine’s Day.

One said: “Sending you lots of love. I had the same injuries 30 years ago in an accident and although it’s a tough road he will get through it.

“I’m only saying this so you know people get through it. Sending lots of positive vibes to you.”

“Sending you lots of love and prayers and wishing for a speedy recovery,” added a second. “Stay strong beautiful.”
