Netflix has introduced “Netflix and Chills”, a brand new category that will keep horror fans more than satisfied ahead of the spooky festivities.
With Halloween creeping up on us at quickly as Michael Myers, the guys at Netflix have treated us to a brand new category for us to sit back and enjoy during the Halloween season.
If you’re not one for going to Halloween parties or trick or treating and feel much more comfortable in the safety of your own home, then Netflix has got you covered with the new “Netflix and Chill” section.
This brand new category will no doubt keep horror fans more than satisfied ahead of the spookiest time of the year.
“Netflix and Chills” will feature some of the best horror films ever made, including Jonathon Demme’s classic The Silence of the Lambs, Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, and sledgehammer-wielding Kathy Bates as Annie Wilks in Rob Reiner’s Misery.
As well the classics, the category will feature more recent horror hits such as Insidious, Darren Aronofsky’s disturbing Mother! starring Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem and American Psycho, starring Christian Bale.
With Netflix’s original horrors such as the superb The Haunting Of Hill House proving to be such a hit with the audience Netflix has also released five brand new original titles including Eli, In The Tall Grass, In the Shadow of the Moon, Fractured and Rattlesnake.
As you can imagine, they’ve also added plenty of Stephen King titles, including Carrie, the Netflix Originals Gerald’s Game and 1922. After all, it wouldn’t be Halloween without Stephen King, would it?
As well as the numerous horror films available, Netflix has also provided us with a whole host of terrifyingly twisted series for you to sink your teeth into, including the latest series of American Horror Story.
If, however, you have kids and they’re even more excited for Halloween than you are, then there are also some cracking films that they can watch too such as Goosebumps, Hotel Transylvania and all three series of Stranger Things.
