Bizarre ‘Alien Creature’ With Long Tail And ‘Reptilian’ Skull Washes Up On Beach
A bizarre ‘alien’ creature discovered on an Australian beach has sparked widespread curiosity and speculation online.
The mysterious carcass was found by Alex Tan while he was walking along the shore on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland.
What he stumbled upon was an animal unlike anything he had seen before.
The creature had four legs, a bloated, hairless body, and a notably long tail resembling that of a rat.
More disturbingly, the head appeared to be stripped of flesh, exposing what Tan described as a ‘reptilian’ skull.
Taken aback by the strange find, Tan posted a video to his Instagram account, narrating: “I’ve stumbled across something weird. This is like one of those things you see when people claim they’ve found aliens.”

The condition of the body added to the mystery.
With flies buzzing around it, the bloated corpse looked unrecognizable and alien.
Tan remarked in the video: “How weird is that?” and compared the animal to a ‘de-haired possum,’ although he admitted it was ‘different to anything’ he’d ever encountered.
He went as far as calling it ‘extra-terrestrial,’ as reported by the Daily Star.
Eager for answers, Tan turned to social media for help identifying the creature.
“I’m genuinely keen to figure out what creature little buddy is,” he told his followers, inviting speculation and commentary.
Several viewers suggested the animal might be a kangaroo or wallaby that had drowned and been altered by its time in the water.
Others even tagged Bindi Irwin, conservationist and daughter of the late Steve Irwin, in hopes she could offer a professional opinion.

Experts note that the sea can significantly distort animal remains.
Prolonged exposure to salt water, tides, and marine scavengers can transform the appearance of a land creature into something almost unrecognizable.
This process, along with natural decomposition, can lead to speculative sightings like this one.
Marine biology has seen its share of oddities washing ashore.
In a similar case, several deep-sea creatures were found on Southern California beaches in 2021, including the rarely seen Pacific Footballfish, per the Mirror.
With its jet-black, globular body and a glowing lure protruding from its head, the Footballfish resembles a creature from a science fiction film.
Only 31 such specimens have ever been documented, with three appearing in California within the same year.
Tan’s find, while likely explainable by science, has nonetheless captured imaginations around the world.
