Buckingham Palace has spoken out after the Met Police announced they are ‘actively’ looking into claims against one royal.

London’s Metropolitan Police have announced that they are ‘actively’ looking into claims about a member of the royal family.

The family have had what Prince William described as a ‘brutal’ year, in a recent interview.

He described it as ‘probably the hardest year’ of his life, after balancing royal duties while caring for his wife, Kate Middleton, who was diagnosed with cancer last year, as well as his father, King Charles.

He said: “Honestly, it’s been dreadful. Trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.

“But I’m so proud of my wife, I’m proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done.

“But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal.”

Both have been very candid about their cancer battles, as Middleton noted that the journey has been ‘very difficult.’

But the family now faces another battle, as media attention has turned to one member of the family, who could be the first to face a police probe in the near future.

In a statement, the Met Police wrote: “We are aware of media reporting and are actively looking into the claims made.”

Prince Andrew has been at the center of media attention for some time, after facing allegations of s**ual misconduct, linked to his alleged association with convicted s** offender, Jeffrey Epstein.

Virginia Giuffre, who took her own life earlier this year, accused Prince Andrew of s**ually abusing her on three occasions when she was 17 years old, alleging she was trafficked by Epstein.

However, Andrew has denied all allegations, saying he has no recollection of ever meeting Giuffre, despite a photograph existing that appears to show them together.

The picture was allegedly taken at Ghislaine Maxwell’s house in London, who is now serving a 20-year sentence on s**-trafficking charges related to Epstein, her former boyfriend.

Following Giuffre’s death in April, the Met Police is now ‘actively’ looking into claims that Prince Andrew tried to obtain personal information about Giuffre through his taxpayer-funded police protection.

It comes after Prince Andrew issued a statement on Friday (October 17), announcing that he will no longer use his Duke of York title, an honor received from his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.

A royal source told the BBC on Monday (October 20) that the claims are being treated by Buckingham Palace with ‘very great concern and should be examined in the appropriate ways to the fullest extent.’

Buckingham Palace declined to comment when approached by IGV.
