A large number of high-profile celebrities have been named in the federal documentation connected to Jeffrey Epstein.

In an unprecedented move earlier this month (November 12), the US House Oversight Committee released 20,000 pages of documents relating to convicted s** offender Epstein and his crimes.

A number of high-profile celebrities are mentioned in the files, but all it takes to be in the Epstein files is for someone to have mentioned them – it does not suggest any wrongdoing or even a friendship.

Following the leaking of the documents, the Trump Administration was put under further pressure to release all the files, as promised during their election campaign.

The President has stalled on making the move as of yet, but urged republicans to vote in favor of the files being released in an unexpected U-turn move last week.

A Senate vote on November 18 compelled the US Justice Department to release further documents in connection with the investigation into Epstein, and they have until December 19 to get them out.

But what do the infamous ‘files’ actually contain?

What is in the Epstein files?

Not only is there information about Epstein’s alleged s**cide in prison, but the files are also made up of private emails, flight logs, and court documents.

The Justice Department has stated that the evidence yet to be made public contains 40 computers, 26 storage drives, 70 CDs, and six recording devices full of information.

A number of individuals named in the newly-released files are huge stars, including members of the royal family, as well as pop stars, footballers, and politicians.

However, an individual having their name mentioned in the Epstein files is not the same as being on his alleged list of clients, nor does it indicate a friendship with him, ever met him, or had any knowledge of his crimes.

Over 30 celebrities are named in the files, but who are they – and what does it mean?

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor

The former prince has long been caught up in the Epstein scandal, and has previously admitted to visiting the abuser at his home in America on numerous occasions.

Andrew continues to deny any wrongdoing in connection to Epstein’s crimes, and he recently had his royal titles stripped in light of his association with the convicted abuser.

Andrew’s former wife was also named in the files.

The 66-year-old recently had her ‘Duchess of York’ title removed following the emergence of an email, in which she referred to Epstein as a ‘dear friend.’

Queen Camilla

Camilla is named in the files nine times, though authorities do not believe she knew, nor had a personal relationship with Epstein.

Princess Diana

Princess Diana’s name appeared 14 times in the newly-released files, but this does not indicate any personal connection to the abuser.

Nigel Farage

The right-wing politician and current leader of the Reform party was mentioned 18 times in the files, but these references fail to demonstrate a personal friendship with Epstein.

Donald Trump

The US president is mentioned an enormous 1,500 times in the files, but mostly in the context of news reports from Trump’s first presidential campaign.

The pair were friends for several years, but Trump has noted that their relationship was not good towards the end of Epstein’s life.

Elton John

Sir Elton John is referenced in the documents eight times, this includes in articles Epstein either sent people or received in his communications.

However, this does not indicate a personal relationship.

Adele

Singer Adele was mentioned in the documents eight times, including in emails sent between Epstein and a publicist.

However, this does not indicate that the two had any sort of relationship.

There is no suggestion that she knew Epstein.

Stephen Hawking

Scientist Steven Hawking’s name is mentioned 17 times, but there is no evidence that he was a friend of Epstein’s.

David Beckham

Former footballer David Beckham was also named in the leaked files, in the context of a conversation about admired athletes.

It is not believed that Beckham knew or ever communicated with Epstein.

What does this mean?

Just because a star is mentioned in the documents, it does not mean they’re involved with Epstein’s crimes in any capacity.

Epstein was found dead in his New York prison cell on August 10, 2019, as he was awaiting his trial.
