Cop Caught On Camera Stealing Woman’s Underwear During Search
A cop has been jailed and permanently barred from policing after being caught on camera stealing women’s underwear during a home search.
Marcin Zielinski, 47, was captured on a hidden camera rifling through a woman’s underwear drawer before taking a pair of pink panties and stuffing them into his back pocket during a Section 32 search.
The camera had been concealed behind children’s toys in the bedroom, recording the entire incident without Zielinski’s knowledge.
After initially looking away, Zielinski returned to the drawer, scrunched up the pink underwear, and shoved it in his back pocket before quickly leaving the room.
The theft occurred on September 12, 2024, at a property in Hertfordshire, where a woman had been arrested in connection with an unrelated matter. The woman was later released with no further action taken.
Zielinski resigned from Hertfordshire Constabulary in November 2024 while under investigation.
In August 2025, he was sentenced to four months in prison at Cambridge Crown Court after admitting to one charge of theft and a charge of corrupt or improper exercise of police powers and privileges by a constable.

Hertfordshire Constabulary condemned the former officer’s actions in the strongest terms.
Assistant Chief Constable Genna Telfer stated that: “Zielinski has let down the public of Hertfordshire, the police service as a whole and his former colleagues, who act with professionalism and integrity. His criminal behaviour damages the reputation of policing and represents a fundamental betrayal of the public and the values for which the police service stands,” per Metro.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire Constabulary said the force was ‘appalled’ by his actions, describing the behavior as ‘a gross breach of trust’ that ‘falls far below the standards expected of a serving officer.’
Zielinski now faces the most severe professional consequences. Following a misconduct panel, he has been placed on the policing profession’s barred list for life, ensuring he can never serve as an officer again.
Deputy Chief Constable Andy Mariner emphasized the seriousness with which the force treated the case, stating there was no place for officers like Zielinski within Hertfordshire Constabulary.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers.
