A mugshot of the man charged with murder in last week’s fatal shooting of CEO Brian Thompson has been revealed and now everyone on the internet is saying the same thing.

The UnitedHealthcare executive, 50, was killed on December 4 outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan.

The shooter, wearing a mask, approached the CEO from behind and shot him in the right calf and back.

Police have now arrested and charged 26-year-old Ivy League graduate Luigi Mangione after he was spotted at a McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennslyvania, amid a manhunt for the gunman.

Mangione, born and raised in Maryland, graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020, reports CBS News.

A Penn spokesperson told the outlet he attained a Master of Science in engineering with a major in computer and information science, and a Bachelor of Science in engineering, majoring in computer science with a minor in mathematics.

The 26-year-old’s LinkedIn account says he worked as a teaching assistant and founded a video game development company club.

Mangione was reportedly a head counselor for a pre-collegiate studies program at Stanford University in California during the summer of 2019.

A former classmate of the suspect told the Associated Press the 26-year-old comes from a wealthy family and ‘had everything going for him.’

He told the news agency: “He does not seem like the kind of guy to do this based on everything I’d known about him in high school.”

Joseph Kenny, chief of detectives for the New York police, says Mangione has no known criminal record in New York, reports Reuters.

According to CNN, Mangione used to maintain an active social media presence, sharing photos of his travels, his weightlift routine, and health challenges he’d faced.

He also publically listed books he had or wanted to read, including an enthusiastic review of the Unabomber Manifesto on a book website.

Yet during the summer, he appeared to stop posting online which reportedly caused concern from some of his friends.

On one of his profiles, someone is believed to have asked: “Hey, are you OK? Nobody has heard from you in months, and apparently, your family is looking for you.”

At the time of his arrest, Mangione was in possession of a ‘ghost gun,’ an untraceable firearm, and a handwritten document suggesting a ‘motivation and mindset,’ the BBC reports.

According to court documents, Altoona officers found Mangione sitting in McDonald’s, wearing a blue medical face mask and looking at a laptop with a backpack close by.

He was reportedly carrying multiple fraudulent IDs and a U.S. passport. One ID is said to match the fake New Jersey ID the shooting suspect used to check into a Manhattan hotel before the murder.

When Mangione was asked if he had recently visited New York he ‘became quiet and started to shake,’ the affidavit says.

The 26-year-old provided his real name after he was told he’d be arrested for lying about his identity.

When asked why he lied about his name, Mangione reportedly stated: “I clearly shouldn’t have.”

Following his arrest, a mugshot of Mangione has gone viral online as everyone makes the same comment.

Despite the crimes he’s been charged with, it appears many aren’t deterred as they take to social media and gush over the 26-year-old’s looks.

One person says: “What jail? Put me in there with him now!”

Another adds: “Suddenly I want to go to jail.”

A third asks: “Why does his mugshot look like a magazine cover?”

“He is a handsome young man,” comments someone else.

Mangione has been denied bail and his attorney says he is set to contest his extradition to New York, starting a process that could reportedly last over a month.
