Donald Trump’s New Executive Order Technically Makes Every American Female
Donald Trump‘s new executive order technically makes every U.S. citizen a female.
The new president signed several executive orders (EOs) that disregarded scientific principles shortly after his inauguration.
Among these were decisions were the withdrawal of the United States from the Paris Agreement and the World Health Organization, signaling a step back in addressing climate change and global health initiatives.
Another EO targeted transgender and non-binary individuals, inadvertently leading to a surprising conclusion: under its definitions, every American could technically be classified as female.
The EO in question states: “‘Female’ means a person belonging, at conception, to the s** that produces the large reproductive cell.”
This definition merges anti-abortion and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric while also demonstrating a misunderstanding of basic biology.
As scientists have pointed out, at the moment of conception and for several weeks afterward, all embryos are essentially female.
During the early stages of development, embryos are indistinguishable. This state could be described as ‘unis**,’ but the initial template aligns with what is traditionally considered female anatomy.
For instance, all humans develop nipples, regardless of whether they eventually lactate.
Around the sixth week of development, the SRY gene comes into play, triggering a pathway that typically leads to male development in individuals with XY chromosomes, per IFL Science.
However, this process is complex and can result in unexpected outcomes.
For example, Swyer syndrome occurs when a person with XY chromosomes develops as a female due to a minor genetic alteration, such as the absence of a single oxygen atom.
The intricacies of s**ual development highlight how chromosomes, hormones, and environmental factors interact.
There are documented cases, such as a Croatian woman with XY chromosomes who successfully gave birth.
Such instances suggest that many women with atypical chromosomal combinations remain unaware of their genetic makeup, as testing is rarely conducted without medical necessity.
Typically, a baby’s s** is assigned at birth based on external g**italia, but this approach does not account for all possibilities.
While most women have XX chromosomes and most men have XY, human biology does not conform to a strict binary.
Denying this complexity is akin to ignoring the diversity of elements in the universe, even though hydrogen and helium dominate.
The EO references the ‘ordinary and longstanding use and understanding of biological and scientific terms,’ yet these terms are often misused to push political agendas against minority groups.
Despite the technical implications of the EO, courts would likely prioritize intent over wording. However, in science, precise language matters – as this news proves!
