A woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann has shared a new bombshell DNA update.

Julia Wandelt, also known as Julia Faustyna and Julia Wendell, made headlines worldwide in 2023 when she suggested she may be Madeleine, one of the world’s most well-known missing persons cases.

Three-year-old Madeleine mysteriously vanished from her family’s vacation apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007.

She had been asleep with her twin siblings, Sean and Amelie, while her parents dined at a nearby restaurant.

Despite international investigations and millions being invested into the case, Madeleine’s whereabouts remain unknown.

Still, Madeleine’s case remains active.

The U.K. Home Office recently allocated an additional $248,000 to aid the investigation, and German prosecutors continue to focus on Christian B., the primary suspect.

Christian B., who is currently incarcerated for an unrelated crime, has maintained his status as a person of interest despite being cleared of other charges earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Wandelt has attracted worldwide attention with her claims of being Madeleine.

She insists they share physical similarities, such as a rare eye condition called coloboma, and that she has vague memories of being abducted and abused during her childhood.

Last year, Wandelt even attended a prayer vigil held for Madeleine.

Reports suggest she intended to deliver a letter to Madeleine’s parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, asking for their cooperation in conducting a DNA test.

Expressing her frustration at the lack of acknowledgment, she later stated: “I have never stopped believing I am Madeleine McCann… No, I am not crazy. I am not a liar.”

Wandelt also discussed her alleged abduction on the Break The Ice Podcast, recalling: “I remember being taken… I remember that I was put into the car. I remember that someone used something like a syringe to put something [in] my body.”

She added that she was handed over to a man with dark hair and tanned skin, although she couldn’t remember his face.

In an effort to substantiate her claims, Wandelt underwent DNA testing during an appearance on Dr. Phil.

Dr. Fia Johansson, her representative and a self-described psychic medium, disclosed the results, stating: “She is absolutely 100 percent from Poland. She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian, but the test results show she is Polish.”

These findings contradict Wandelt’s belief that she could be Madeleine, yet she remains firm in her assertions.

Dr. Johansson believes the woman’s mother is likely her biological parent but has raised questions about her father’s identity.

Despite the DNA result backset, Wandelt continues to seek further information to back her claims.

She claims to have contacted highly respected forensic DNA expert, Dr. Monte Miller, seeking his professional opinion.

He allegedly told Wandelt that Madeleine’s DNA profile contains genetic markers from at least three closely related individuals, further claiming that Wandelt’s DNA profile matches Madeleine’s fairly well

Wandelt believes this makes logical sense, as Madeleine’s DNA profile likely reflects contributions from multiple related individuals rather than just her own, resulting in a partial rather than a complete match.

Allegedly, Dr. Miller also noted that the evidence suggests a familial relationship, such as siblings or a parent-child connection.

Wandelt also points out that Kate McCann once mentioned that all three McCann children – Amelie, Sean, and Madeleine – shared a single toothbrush, which she speculates could hold some significance in the DNA evidence.

Based on Dr. Miller’s findings, Julia is adamant that this expert opinion strongly suggests a close genetic relationship between herself and Kate and Gerry McCann.

Recently, Wandelt also claimed to have met with Madeleine’s parents, having shared a recorded exchange on Facebook.

Gerry reportedly dismissed her claims, expressing skepticism and refusing further discussion.

In her most recent update, Wandelt claims she will be undergoing an investigation without the help of Gerry and Kate McCann.

Taking to Instagram, she shared: “Since my parents in Poland and Kate and Gerry McCann have refused to take a DNA test, my DNA results were submitted to a world expert who compared them to the DNA found at the Madeleine McCann crime scene in Portugal.”

Wandelt added that if anyone was interested in ‘further information and all media inquiries,’ they should contact Mr Surjit Singh Clair via the email and telephone number supplied.

Surprisingly, many people have taken to Wandelt’s comment section and shared their support for her mission.

One follower wrote: “Good! This is exactly what you should have done ages ago.”

Another added: “I hope you get the answers you are looking for Julia.”

“This is amazing to me,” somebody else shared. “I’m so happy I’ve been listening to your story!”
