A woman who claims to be Madeleine McCann has shared a recent DNA update about her identity after reportedly meeting with Kate and Gerry McCann.

Julia Wandelt, also known as Julia Faustyna and Julia Wendell, gained significant attention last year when she suggested she might be Madeleine McCann, one of the world’s most well-known missing persons cases.

Madeleine, who was three years old at the time, vanished from her family’s vacation apartment in Praia da Luz, Portugal, in May 2007.

She had been asleep with her twin siblings, Sean and Amelie, while her parents dined at a nearby restaurant.

The disappearance prompted an international investigation that continues to this day, with millions of dollars dedicated to solving the case.

Despite various efforts and occasional leads, Madeleine’s whereabouts remain a mystery.

Often referred to as ‘modern history’s most heavily reported missing-person case,’ Madeleine’s case remains active.

The U.K. Home Office recently allocated an additional $248,000 to aid the investigation, and German prosecutors continue to focus on Christian B., the primary suspect.

Christian B., who is currently incarcerated for an unrelated crime, has maintained his status as a person of interest despite being cleared of other charges earlier this year.

Wandelt has attracted worldwide attention with her claims of being Madeleine McCann.

She pointed to physical similarities, such as a rare eye condition called coloboma that she shares with the missing girl.

Additionally, she described vague memories of being abducted and abused during her childhood.

Earlier this year, Wandelt attended a prayer vigil held for Madeleine McCann.

Reports suggest she intended to deliver a letter to Madeleine’s parents, asking for their cooperation in conducting a DNA test.

Expressing her frustration at the lack of acknowledgment, she later stated: “I have never stopped believing I am Madeleine McCann… No, I am not crazy. I am not a liar.”

Wandelt also discussed her alleged abduction on the Break The Ice Podcast, recalling: “I remember being taken… I remember that I was put into the car. I remember that someone used something like a syringe to put something [in] my body.”

She added that she was handed over to a man with dark hair and tanned skin, although she couldn’t remember his face.

In an effort to substantiate her claims, Wandelt underwent DNA testing during an appearance on Dr. Phil last year.

Dr. Fia Johansson, her representative and a self-described psychic medium, disclosed the results, stating: “She is absolutely 100 percent from Poland. She is a small percentage of Lithuanian and Russian, but the test results show she is Polish.”These findings contradict Wandelt’s belief that she could be Madeleine, yet she remains firm in her assertions.

Wandelt has claimed that her attempts to contact Kate and Gerry McCann for a DNA test have gone unanswered.

On social media, she has also alleged that her Polish parents, who raised her, have refused DNA testing.

Dr. Johansson believes Wandelt’s mother is likely her biological parent but has raised questions about her father’s identity.

Wandelt has since confronted Kate and Gerry McCann, urging them to perform a DNA test to confirm or rule out her identity.

In a recorded exchange she has shared on Facebook, Gerry reportedly dismissed her claims, expressing skepticism and refusing further discussion.

Wandelt insisted on her belief, citing physical similarities, memories of abduction, and prior DNA analysis that she says supports her assertions.

Despite presenting documents and forensic opinions, Gerry allegedly declined to engage, stating that authorities were already aware of her situation.

She also claims that a highly respected forensic DNA expert, Dr. Monte Miller, reviewed Julia’s DNA profile alongside Madeleine McCann’s and provided his professional opinion.

According to Dr. Miller, Madeleine’s DNA profile contains genetic markers from at least three closely related individuals. He further stated that Julia’s DNA profile matches Madeleine’s fairly well.

Julia believes this makes logical sense, as Madeleine’s DNA profile likely reflects contributions from multiple related individuals rather than just her own, resulting in a partial rather than a complete match.

Dr. Miller also noted that the evidence suggests a familial relationship, such as siblings or a parent-child connection.

Julia also points out that Kate McCann once mentioned that all three McCann children – Amelie, Sean, and Madeleine – shared a single toothbrush, which she speculates could hold some significance in the DNA evidence.

Based on Dr. Miller’s findings, Julia is adamant that this expert opinion strongly suggests a close genetic relationship between herself and Kate and Gerry McCann.

She is calling for someone to take action, urging authorities or the McCanns to conduct further investigations and DNA testing to bring clarity to this matter. Julia continues to appeal for help, hoping her claims will lead to the truth being uncovered.
