Kensington Palace Issues Major Update On Kate Middleton
Kensington Palace has issued a major update on Kate Middleton amid her cancer recovery journey.
The palace has made a major announcement regarding the Princess of Wales today, which also marks three years since the passing of Queen Elizabeth (September 8).
The royal revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, after rumors circulated on social media about her disappearance from public life.
In a clip revealing the devastating news, Middleton said: “In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London, and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.
“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present.
“My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.”

Since then, Middleton has shared numerous updates on her health, but spoke more recently about the struggles of recovering from treatment.
But as fellow royals commemorate the death of the Queen today, three years on from her ‘peaceful’ passing at Balmoral in Scotland, Kensington Palace has made an announcement about the mom-of-three.
The Princess of Wales will now be joining her husband at an event celebrating the life of Queen Elizabeth II, which he originally was supposed to attend on his own, Kensington Palace announced.
It comes as Prince Harry will make his return to the UK today, for the WellChild Awards, of which he has been a patron for some years.
It is not yet known whether he will meet up with any of his estranged family members.
The King, who is currently at Balmoral, and the Queen have no public engagements planned for this week.
Prince Harry and King Charles last met face-to-face more than a year and a half ago when he immediately got on a flight to see his father in February 2024, having heard about his cancer diagnosis.
But they spent just half an hour together before the King left to go to Sandringham.

Earlier last week (September 5), the princess debuted her new blonde hair as she joined Prince William for their first royal engagement since the summer holidays at London’s Natural History Museum.
But it was Middleton’s lighter look that captured the attention of those on social media, as some claimed that the new hair was a wig.
But Princess Diana’s former hairstylist, Sam McKnight, has since spoken out in a furious rage concerning claims that the princess might have been wearing a wig.
Writing on Instagram, he said: “I am shocked, horrified, dismayed and disgusted by all the nasty comments about the Princess of Wales today.
“A woman’s hair is very personal to her, it’s armor, defense, confidence, and so much more.
“I cannot believe how lacking in any kind of empathy are the comments, the majority made apparently by other women, attacking a vulnerable other young woman, who has no choice, by dint of who she married and the role she took on, to bravely face the public.”
During her most recent cancer update, while visiting a hospital garden in Essex, UK, she spoke about finding her ‘new normal.’
