Meghan Markle Breaks Silence On Controversial Hospital Video
Meghan Markle has finally addressed the controversial hospital video that recently went viral.
The Duchess of Sussex set off a storm of speculation with the short ‘baby momma dance’ video she posted to mark daughter Lilibet’s fourth birthday.
The 80‑second Instagram clip, filmed in 2021 while she and Prince Harry waited for labor to begin, shows a heavily pregnant Markle swaying beside a hospital bed and rowing her arms to the viral pregnancy anthem ‘The Baby Momma Dance.’
Halfway through, the Duke of Sussex wanders into shot in a hoodie, waggling his fingers to the beat.

For Markle, the upload was meant to give followers a cheerful, behind‑the‑curtain slice of family life.
The caption she wrote underlined that intent: “Four years ago today, this also happened.
“Both of our children were a week past their due dates… so when spicy food, all that walking, and acupuncture didn’t work , there was only one thing left to do!”
Not everyone was impressed.
Almost as soon as the reel went live, online conspiracy theorists pounced, insisting her baby bump must be a prosthetic.
Veteran royal commentator Ingrid Seward, speaking to The Sun, described the footage as ‘vulgar, unnecessary, attention‑seeking,’ adding: “They make such a point about privacy and security and then they put stuff out there.
“I think it’s completely hypocritical for everything she stands for. It’s very embarrassing.”
Another critic dismissed the reel as ‘cringey’ and ‘hard to watch,’ likening it to parody.
Yet the Duchess seems unfazed.

Now in a new interview with entrepreneur and Dragon’s Den investor Emma Grede for the Aspire podcast, the former Suits star has pushed back.
Grede, a founding partner of SKIMS and chief executive of Good American, admitted she replayed the clip repeatedly.
Laughing, she recalled: “We maybe watched it like 20 times yesterday. I was like, is that Prince Harry there with the fingers? I was like, okay, Meghan and Harry, let’s go. But that’s you, right? That’s you in a way that we kind of haven’t been able to see you before.”
“You have to be authentic,” Markle told Grede. “Did you see my ‘Baby Momma’ dance? That wasn’t yesterday, that was four years ago.
“It’s a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there’s still a whole life , a real, authentic, fun life, that’s happening behind the scenes.
“I’m just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.”
In the same podcast appearance, Markle called on detractors to ‘tell the truth’ about her and argued that carefully curated social‑media windows let her set the record straight.
