One Direction Star Zayn Malik Rushed To Hospital
Zayn Malik has been rushed to hospital, sparking huge concern among fans after he was forced to cancel an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The former One Direction star shared a worrying health update from his hospital bed on Instagram, on the same day his fifth solo album Konnakol was released last week.
The concerning update comes just days after news broke regarding the 33-year-old’s violent fallout with former bandmate Louis Tomlinson during the three-part travel series the pair were filming for Netflix.
The show was supposed to follow Zayn and Louis on a road trip around the US as they reconnected over memories of their time in One Direction, however Netflix was forced to cancel production following a physical altercation between the pair.

According to reports, Zayn punched Louis in the face, before making a comment about his deceased mom, who died of leukaemia in 2016. The incident, which took place six months ago, lead to Louis needing treatment for concussion and a cut to his head in Wyoming last October.
Zayn, who shares a five-year-old daughter with his ex-partner Gigi Hadid, is now said to be worried about the footage of his altercation with Louis being leaked, since the whole ordeal was caught on camera by production.
“The moment Zayn hit Louis and made a derogatory comment about his mom Johannah was all filmed,” a source told The Sun.
“Zayn and Louis know footage exists and the production company has it. If it became public, it could be beyond damaging for Zayn’s image.”
The source continued: “The series was supposed to capture a raw insight into Zayn and Louis’ relationship but this crossed a line.”
Zayn had a tricky relationship with his former bandmates after leaving One Direction, but had reformed a friendship with Louis in recent years, particularly following the tragic death of Liam Payne.
However, this latest fallout appears to have put an end to their reconciliation after Louis recently unfollowed Zayn on Instagram.
Zayn previously accused of striking Yolanda Hadid
Back in 2021, Zayn found himself at the centre of fresh controversy when his daughter’s grandmother, Yolanda Hadid, claimed he ‘struck’ her and ‘shoved’ her into a dresser, ‘causing mental anguish and physical pain.’
He was charged with four criminal counts of harassment relating to the alleged incident on September 29, 2021, with court documents alleging he told Yolanda to ‘stay away from his f***ing daughter.’
They also claimed he was trying to start a fight with a security guard on site.
In response, Zayn fiercely denied allegations he hit Yolanda, however he filed a ‘no contest’ plea to the four counts of harassment.
“I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid,” he said in a statement at the time, adding, “and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
Zayn shares health update from hospital bed
On Friday, April 17, the singer shared a worrying update from a hospital bed, telling fans he was ‘unexpectedly recovering’ following a ‘long week.’
“Thank you to all of you for your love and support, now and always. Been a long week and am still unexpectedly recovering,” he wrote.
“Heartbroken that I can’t see you all this week, I wouldn’t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding.”
He went on to thank the ‘incredible hospital staff,’ including doctors, nurses and a cardiologist, who have helped him during his medical episode.
While he didn’t go into further detail about what had prompted the unexpected hospital stay, a source has since revealed he is seeking further medical treatment from the ‘number one cardiologist in the world.’
The source told People he is stepping away from promoting his album while ‘still working through his health issues.’
“He was supposed to appear on Fallon but isn’t able to due to doctor’s recommendation,” they added.
Fans hope he makes a swift recovery from his mystery illness, as he’s set to head off on his first solo headline sterna tour later this year, starting in North America in June.
