‘Weird’ Picture Of Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Kids Sparks Concern
A Father’s Day post dedicated to Prince Harry by Meghan Markle has sparked further concern over their children, after fans noticed one worrying detail.
In the heartfelt post, the Duchess of Sussex referred to her husband as their ‘one and only,’ alongside a picture of Harry hugging seven-year-old Archie and Lilibet, five, who both had their backs to the camera.
“They’re so lucky to have you. We all are. Happy Father’s Day to our one and only,” Meghan wrote.
Despite the loving nature of the post, some people never miss an opportunity to criticize the former senior royals and this time they’re raising concerns over their children.
‘Disgusting’ photo sparks fury
This, of course, isn’t the first time people have kicked off over a picture of the children online.
Earlier this year, some followers were left furious over a ‘disgusting’ photo uploaded by Meghan on Instagram to mark Archie’s seventh birthday in May.
She uploaded two pictures, including one of Archie asleep on Harry’s chest as a newborn baby and a second, in which he can be seen on the beach with his sister.
“7 years later… happy birthday to our sweet boy,” she wrote in the caption, alongside a love heart emoji.
While the post received hundreds of thousands of likes, it was also met with a barrage of criticism from social media users.
One critic commented: “The images always tell one glaring story. isolation. Isolation from family, isolation from the public.”
Another added: “It’s all so odd!”
Meanwhile, others suggested the pictures of Archie and Lilibet are all ‘either AI or photoshopped’.
Meghan defends hiding children’s faces
Many will have noticed that Meghan always chooses to cover her children’s faces when she posts pictures of them – a move which many people in the public eye are now adopting for safety and privacy reasons.
But despite lots of campaigners in the online safety world encouraging parents against showing their kids’ faces online, Harry and Meghan have been criticized for doing so.
“As ever, both faceless phantoms,” one critic wrote.
Meghan has spoken about this before, recently telling people at an event that their children ‘are still too young for social media.’
“But like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against the dangers,” she added.
Father’s Day post sparks concern
Sadly, Meghan’s most recent post including Archie and Lilibet is no different, with many people on social media point out the same thing.
Several users highlighted that in many of the photos of the kids, they appear not to be wearing shoes, with one social media user branding the look as ‘shabby’.
“Once again, a photo of these children looking shabby. This time the boy has dirty bare feet. They always look unkempt,” one person remarked.
Of course, anyone with children will be able to tell you that dirty feet are a given when it comes to playing and having fun.
Another asked: “Why does the girl only get shoes inside, and no shoes outside?” to which someone responded: “Exactly, sandals indoors but barefoot outdoors. Make it make sense!”
Meanwhile, a fourth commented: “The girl child gets shoes this time as well as a strategically placed toy on her back so no one can see or comment on her hair.”
However, others pointed out that the toy placed on Lilibet’s back was actually a backpack that is connected to a leash, which is commonly used as a safety accessory for small children.
“That’s not a toy. It looks like one of those backpacks with a leash attached. We had one for my grandson. He was a runner and we used to show our horses,” one wrote.
Another agreed: “I came here to say it’s a leash. My kid is on the autism spectrum, so I’m very familiar with them. We have a few.”
