The reason Donald Trump was exempt from the military draft five times has been revealed, as Americans demand that his youngest son, Barron, be called up to serve.

With the US and Israel’s bombing of Iran, and many other conflicts still ongoing around the world, many are fearing we have never been closer to WW3 than right now.

The US and Israel’s orchestrated airstrikes resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the attacks on February 28.

Now, the regime have appointed a new leader, his son, Mojtaba Khamenei.

The war in the Middle East has served as a reminder to much of the world of just how far President Trump is willing to go when he is serious about taking action.

Why did America and Israel strike Iran?

The US and Israel have, for several years, argued that Iran’s nuclear program and missile development represent a significant threat to other nations, particularly in the West.

They firmly believe that if Iran were to develop advanced nuclear capabilities or long-range missile systems, it could endanger Israel, US forces stationed in the region, and American allies.

Many governments have also described Iran’s leadership under Ayatollah Khamenei as highly authoritarian and openly opposed to Western policies.

At the same time, many Iranians themselves have been calling for greater freedoms and political reform.

Human rights organizations and the United Nations have repeatedly criticized Iran’s government for its handling of protests, restrictions on free expression, arbitrary detentions, and harsh punishments imposed on critics over the years.

Israel has sought to weaken Iran’s government and its influence across the Middle East, though critics argue that the justification for these actions is contested and warn that they risk escalating the conflict into a broader regional war.

Who would be drafted first in the US?

Public concern about the possibility of a third world war has reached levels not seen in decades.

A YouGov survey found that between 41 percent and 55 percent of Western Europeans believe another global conflict could occur within the next five to ten years, while around 45% of Americans share the same concern.

Between 68 percent and 76 percent of respondents also expect that any such war would likely involve nuclear weapons.

In America, certain groups are exempt from military conscription, or are granted special consideration if a draft was to be implemented.

Women are currently exempt from registering with the Selective Service, as no law has yet made their registration mandatory, despite the fact that they now serve in nearly all military roles.

People with medical or mental health conditions – including chronic illnesses, disabilities, or significant psychological issues – would likely receive deferments or full exemptions.

Full-time students have also historically been granted deferments, particularly those close to completing their degrees.

Under current law, all male US citizens and male immigrants between the ages of 18 and 25 are required to register with the Selective Service System within 30 days of their 18th birthday.

If a draft were activated, those turning 20 during the lottery year would be called up first, according to the SSS.

If more personnel were needed, the draft would then extend to men aged 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25. Only after those age groups were exhausted would the system move to 19-year-olds, followed by individuals aged 18.

Why was Donald Trump exempt five times?

During the era of the Vietnam War, Nov 1955 – Apr 1975, a young Trump was coming of age when males 18 and older were eligible to be drafted into military service.

But the now-President managed to obtain multiple draft deferments that kept him out of the war.

Trump received four student deferments during the Vietnam War.

Afterwards, a medical examination concluded that he had bone spurs in both heels, which resulted in him being classified as unfit for military service and except for the fifth time, in the event of a war or national emergency.

Bone spurs, also known as osteophytes, are bony lumps that grow on the bones in the spine or around joints, as per the Mayo Clinic.

His son Barron, who is now 19, has been trending for weeks after citizens demanded that he is drafted to serve in the war.

“I am not joking about drafting Barron, send him in first,” one wrote.

Another added: “Baron should be the first one to be drafted.”

While a third said: “Baron’s name should be at the tippy-top of the list.”
