New Twist Emerges As Man ‘Marries’ Nine-Year-Old Girl In Disneyland ‘Wedding’
Disney staff called the police after the 39-year-old organized a ‘wedding’ for his nine-year-old bride.
A man was arrested on Tuesday (June 24) after arranging a private wedding on Disneyland grounds, to ‘marry’ a nine-year-old girl.
The twisted ceremony was set to take place in front of 100 guests, made up of paid actors, and the family of the young girl.
It was complete with white chairs, a giant cake, musicians and the castle, and was planned to be live streamed on social media.
After spotting the young ‘bride’ with four-inch heels strapped to her feet, Disney staff immediately called police to arrest the man.
The 39-year-old had organized for the area near the castle to be privatized for the event, which cost him a grand total of over $110,000.
According to prosecutors, it was only on the day that Disneyland employees recognized the severity of the situation.
But it wasn’t just the groom that was arrested by police.
The child’s mom, a 41-year-old Ukrainian woman was also taken into custody, as well as a 24-year-old Latvian woman who played the role of the bride’s sister, and a 55-year-old Latvian man who took part.
Extras who made up the guestlist had been recruited online, and had no idea what they were getting themselves into.
Management now claim they were completely ‘deceived,’ and insist that the event was ‘soon shut down.’
Following the ordeal, a medical examination of the nine-year-old was performed, but experts found that there was no evidence of violence.
Speaking to The Sun, one guest who attended the twisted ceremony said: “We all thought we were going to attend a wedding.
“Everyone was stunned when we realized what was really going on.
“Disneyland acted extremely professionally – they cancelled everything as soon as they realised the bride was a child.”
They added: “It was all very shocking.”
But details that have emerged since his arrest, only add to the twisted nature of his actions.
Prosecutors in Meaux, Paris, have confirmed the man was already known in the U.K. ‘for s**ual offences against minors.’
In a statement, they said: “He is registered on the British s** offenders register and is currently wanted at the national level by the judicial authorities of his country of origin, for failing to comply with the obligations arising from said registration.”
In order to book the event, the organizer used a false identity.
The statement continued: “The organizer assumed the identity of a Latvian national and used false documents to secure the conclusion of the contract for the privatization of the park.”
One guest to the ‘wedding’ revealed that they had been paid $13,959 to play the role, but realized last minute that the ‘bride-to-be’ was a minor.
