Woman Found Dead On Bus With 26 iPhones Glued To Her Body As Shock Theory Emerges
A shocking theory has emerged after a woman was found dead on a bus with 26 iPhones glued to her body.
A bizarre and tragic incident in Brazil has left investigators puzzled after a 20-year-old woman was found dead on a bus.
The woman, whose identity has not been publicly released, had over 20 iPhones stuck to her body when she died on July 29 while traveling alone from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo.
The incident unfolded when the woman became ill during her bus journey through Brazil’s Paraná state.
Emergency services were called around 10:30 p.m. when the bus stopped at a restaurant in Guarapuava in southern Brazil, after the woman complained of breathing difficulties.
Passengers reported that the woman had been traveling alone and began experiencing respiratory distress during the journey.
She complained of trouble breathing before collapsing at the restaurant stop in Guarupuava, located in the central region of Paraná.

Emergency responders rushed to the scene and attempted to revive the woman for 45 minutes.
However, her condition deteriorated rapidly – she suffered a seizure and cardiac arrest before being pronounced dead at the scene, the New York Post reports.
During the resuscitation attempts, medics made a startling discovery.
As they treated the woman, they uncovered multiple packages glued to her body, which turned out to contain 26 iPhones attached to her skin.
The discovery has baffled investigators and sparked theories about the woman’s possible involvement in smuggling operations.
According to reports, authorities also found several bottles of alcohol hidden in her luggage, adding another layer of mystery to the case.
Brazilian investigators have now shared their theory about the bizarre circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
A new theory has now emerged, suggesting the woman had been smuggling items before her death. Investigators said the items found on her body reinforced the hypothesis of illegal trafficking, the Mirror reports.
The Paraná Civil Police are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident. In an official statement per NDTV, police said: “The Paraná Civil Police are investigating the case and awaiting the conclusion of forensic reports to clarify the cause of death.”
“According to preliminary information, the woman, who was alone, was traveling from Foz do Iguaçu to São Paulo. The 26 cell phones that were glued to her body were seized and sent to the Federal Revenue Service,” police added, according to Brazilian news outlet Globo, per the Daily Record.

The discovery comes amid a significant increase in smartphone trafficking across Brazil’s borders.
Brazil has a large black market for smartphones, often smuggled from neighboring countries like Paraguay.
Recent reports have highlighted a 25% surge in seizures of black market iPhones from January to May this year.
Authorities estimate that around 10,000 cellphones are smuggled into Brazil daily through various routes.
The route from Foz do Iguaçu, where the woman began her journey, is particularly significant as it’s located near the tri-border area with Paraguay and Argentina – a known smuggling corridor.
“(Cellphone smugglers) pass through in small quantities and distribute them to the rest of Brazil,” Claudio Marques, a deputy delegate of Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service, told H2FOZ, highlighting the organized nature of these smuggling operations.
In one recent incident, 196 smartphones were confiscated from a truck’s hidden compartment on the Friendship Bridge connecting Paraguay and Brazil, demonstrating the scale of the illicit trade.

The woman’s body has been sent to the Forensic Medical Institute for a complete autopsy, while the seized items have been transferred to federal police headquarters for further investigation.
Authorities are awaiting forensic results to determine the exact cause of her breathing difficulties and cardiac arrest.
Sniffer dogs found no drugs on the woman’s person, and experts from the Civil Police have been called in to investigate the circumstances further.
Reports following her death indicated that the woman displayed symptoms consistent with a post-seizure condition and had suffered severe respiratory distress before her heart stopped.
The 26 iPhones are now in the custody of Brazil’s Federal Revenue Service as part of the ongoing investigation into what authorities believe may have been a sophisticated smuggling operation.
