Netflix users are surprised to have learned that they are paying for an unused feature that they had no idea existed.

The streaming giant had previously announced that it would be entering the gaming market, however, there was a limited amount of updates over time, leading to fans speculating it had been scrapped.

It then quietly introduced Netflix Games to the app last November.

However, most subscribers did not know about this feature, and on social media, people are reacting to it.

One person commented: “I have no idea how to play a Netflix game. Didn’t even know there was any.”

Another said: “I feel like I’ve heard that Netflix has games before, but I have never once seen Netflix mention them.”

A third remarked: “I watch shows and movies on Netflix and play my games on my consoles and phone, I don’t play games on Netflix, I don’t know why they decided to add games to their service, but I’ve never played any of them and I never will.”

‘Breaking Bad’ Set For Netflix ‘Axe’ As Fans Threaten To Cancel Subscriptions

This comes after a recent report was released by the streaming giant, claiming that only 1% of subscribers actually play Netflix Games.

In an article published by CNBC, it was revealed that: “An average of 1.7 million people are engaging with the games daily, less than 1% of Netflix’s 221 million subscribers.”

There are currently 24 games available, but Netflix has promised to improve the service and have ’50 titles for users to play by the end of the year’.

Some of the current ones are related to their shows, such as Stranger Things 3: The Game.

Other games are already available to download from app stores, like Solitaire and Asphalt Xtreme.
