Nicola Peltz £3Million Wedding: Brooklyn Beckham's Wife Speaks Out

Brooklyn Beckham’s wife, Nicola Peltz, has broken her silence on the £3million wedding backlash.

The daughter of billionaire Nelson Petz has taken to Instagram and revealed that instead of receiving any wedding gifts, she has asked her guests to make donations to CARE, which is an organisation that has launched a humanitarian appeal for the Ukraine crisis.

In a lengthy story post, the 27-year-old wrote: “My dad spoke about this in his speech at our wedding… B and I are devastated about what is going on in Ukraine and have asked for donations to @careorg in lieu of wedding gifts.

“Please consider making a donation in our names to help fund CARE’s mission to save lives, defeat poverty, and advance social justice.”

In the link, she added: “Join Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham in providing life-saving aid to Ukrainians in need.”

The page’s donations range from $250 to $10,000. However, guests can input whatever amount they would prefer.

The couple began facing a backlash about their lavish wedding earlier this week when official photos were published in Vogue magazine.

Many said due to the current cost of living crisis, their luxurious spending on their special day was ‘grotesque’.

Outraged, one penned: “Weddings are lovely things but I do feel the $3m cost of Brooklyn Beckham’s wedding is in poor taste in these times of hardship for many.

“It would have been a wonderful gesture to have a smaller wedding and donate the money to charity instead.”

In agreement, a second said: “Man I need to turn the TV off during the day. I wish Brooklyn Beckham all the best, but I don’t need to know the cost of the wedding and the price tag of the guest’s outfits.

“I’m trying to prepare for my gas bill, rent, car insurance, road tax, raising a baby etc!”
