A nurse in an all-male coronavirus ward in a Russian hospital has been disciplined after she was treating patients whilst wearing only her ‘lingerie’ under the transparent PPE gown. However, the patients didn’t seem to mind at all!
The picture of a nurse in a somewhat revealing transparent PPE gown has gone viral after a patient decided to take a photo at a hospital in Tula, 100 miles south of Moscow. According to the patient, his bedfellows have had ‘no complaints’. I wonder why…
Although no one has made any complaints about the nurse’s attire, the hospital chiefs were not amused once the news spread and the nurse have since been punished for her ‘non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing’.
The 20-year-old nurse has since made the claim that she was ‘too hot’ to be wearing the full nurse outfit whilst also wearing the PPE gown.
She has apparently told the managers at Tula Regional Clinical Hospital that she didn’t realise when wearing the PPE gown that it was so transparent.
However, the regional health ministry has reported that ‘a disciplinary sanction was applied to the nurse of the infectious diseases department who violated (uniform) requirements’.
Originally, the chiefs claimed that the nurse had been wearing ‘lingerie’ and that has changed, they are now stating she wore a ‘swimming suit’ under her gown.
Despite the image being circulated online, the nurse has decided to not speak out publically regarding the incident and the exact details of the disciplinary actions have not been revealed.
Although one patient insisted there had been no objection from the men, others admitted it made them feel ’embarrassed’.
Meanwhile, a reader of the local newspaper Tula News has congratulated the nurse.
They wrote: “At least someone has a sense of humour in this gloomy, gloomy reality.”
Whilst another questioned: “Why the reprimand?”
Another supporter commented: “Why punish the nurse, you need to reward her. ‘Seeing this outfit, no-one wants to die.”
