Wilson has a daughter named Lyla, 4, with his ex Varunie Vongsvirates.

The Loki actor casually dated Vongsvirates for five years before breaking up.

Vongsvirates told the Daily Mail that her former lover is ‘not involved at all’ with their little girl and has ‘never’ even met his youngest child.

She told the paper that she begged the actor to get involved in their daughter’s life – but he will only help financially.

Vongsvirates said: “Lyla needs a father. It’s ironic how [Owen] keeps getting these father roles, he’s playing a father in his new movie, and he’s never met his own daughter.”

According to Radar, their relationship didn’t end on the best of terms and Wilson allegedly changed his phone number upon learning of her pregnancy.

“When Varunie told Owen she was pregnant, he was not happy about it, and that was the last time they ever spoke,” a source told the outlet.

In 2018, a paternity test confirmed that the Night at the Museum star was Lyla’s father.

A source told Us Weekly after finding this out, Wilson ‘checked the no visitation box in court in June’.

The insider added: “He does not want to visit [and does not] want any custody of her.”

While a representative of Owen also told the outlet: “This is a private matter and it’s not appropriate to comment further.”

However, Wilson has generously fulfilled his legal obligations towards his daughter.

According to reports, Owen pays $25,000 a month in child support for Lyla.

Reportedly, he also paid a one-off payment of $75,000 to Vongsvirates, in order to cover the cost of a night nurse, labour coach and her legal fees.

Vongsvirates often posts photos of her daughter on Instagram, and many fans have taken to the comments and remarked on the fact that Lyla is a mini-me of her father.

One fan wrote: “Looks like her father, I would say it’s a shame how things turned out.

“But she has a super mum and I am sure she receives love in abundance.”

Another wrote: “It’s truly a shame a man would leave such a beautiful girl. Disappointed in Owen.”

Despite never acknowledging his daughter, Wilson is a proud father when it comes to talking about his two sons.

During an appearance on Ellen DeGeneres’ show to promote his 2017 movie Cars 3, he revealed that his two boys don’t find him funny.

Wilson said: “It’s unbelievable. I mean, anything Ford says is just, like, the funniest thing ever, and I can make and joke and it’s, like, crickets. It’s like nothing from those guys.”

He added: “I’m already sort of seeing how they’re gonna be as teenagers, where they’re gonna be sort of be ganging up on me.”
