Ozzy Osbourne has spoken out about his health after cancelling his comeback tour

The former Black Sabbath singer, 74, left fans devastated earlier this month when he revealed that his physical state means he will no longer be able to perform.

In a heartbreaking statement, Osbourne told fans that it was the ‘hardest thing’ he had ever had to do.

And now the ‘Crazy Train’ artist has shared further information regarding his health.

Appearing on SiriusXM’s Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne told co-host, Billy Morrison, that he had a blood clot filter removed from one of his arteries.

“I’m battling through,” he said. “Like, for instance, last Monday, I went to have a filter removed.”

Osbourne continued: “When I had the blood clots in my legs, they put a filter in your artery to stop the blood clots going to your heart and your brain. It sounds worse than it is.

“So, on Monday I went to have it removed. The blood clots have jammed you all up. It’s just disappointment after disappointment.

“Just get this thing f***ing done so I can go get on with my life.”

This isn’t the only update fans have received regarding Osbourne’s health.

The Prince of Darkness’ wife, Sharon Osbourne, tells The Sun that her husband’s ‘Achilles’ heel has always been his lungs’.

The former X Factor judge says: “Ozzy has been plagued medically by different things that have been wrong.

“It is like one thing leads to another than another.”

Osbourne, who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, is reportedly leaving the US after two decades to return to Blighty – the couple has a Grade II listed home there.

In an interview with Consequence, Sharon says that although Osbourne would prefer to remain in the US, she believes Los Angeles is no longer ‘a fun place to live’.

“It hasn’t gone sideways, it’s gone down. It’s not a fun place to live. It’s dangerous here. Every big city’s got crime, but I don’t feel safe here. Neither does Ozzy,” she says.

While Osbourne has revealed that he won’t be able to perform anytime soon, Black Sabbath member Geezer Butler has also confirmed his retirement.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, promoting his autobiography ‘Into the Void: From Birth to Black Sabbath and Beyond’, Butler reveals that he doesn’t ‘want to do anything anymore’.

Butler says that he decided to retire before the pandemic while he was touring with his supergroup Deadland Ritual alongside Matt Sorum, Steve Stevens and Franky Perez.

Despite playing at numerous events and releasing singles including ‘Down in Flames’, Butler felt it didn’t ‘suit’ him.

He explained: “I didn’t realise how hard starting from scratch is, especially when you’re used to your own plane and staying at the Four Seasons and the Ritz Carlton.

“You’re back in little clubs and getting on a bus together. It just didn’t suit me.”
