A mum was left frustrated when she asked her husband to help with the back to school shop and how he failed miserably – however, the rant she shared online about it has left parents in stitches.
When one mum decided to ask her husband for help she learnt the hard way that sometimes, if you want the job done the right way, you have to do it yourself.
With the beginning of a new school term approaching, a mum of two decided to ask for help from the dad on getting everything organised for the kids going the back to school. However, she ended up dubbing him a “man child” after seeing what he had brought back home with him.
Before he went on the mission of sorting the kids’ school clothes out, the mum asked him to get their son black PE shoes. Yet when she was presented with his purchase, she couldn’t get over his major shopping fail.
Instead of her husband buying their son a pair of plimsolls for PE classes, the woman couldn’t believe that he had bought a pair of black school shoes with a flower embedded on them. Although a nice pair of shoes, she didn’t understand how he could think it would be acceptable for their son’s sports lessons.
The mum took to Facebook to share her disappointment with fellow parents and they were left in stitches. Unfortunately, many had found themselves in similar situations.
On her blog Sweary Mum to 2 and a Man-child, the mum wrote: “Not even f***ing joking you. B starts school in two days. Two b*****ding days.
“I’ve organised his school uniform. I’ve organised those little name stickers that stick to f***ing everything. I’ve bought a school bag. I bought him a personalised water bottle. I bought him a gym kit bag. I got him his school shoes.
“And I say to man child… ‘Can you please order him the gym shoes please for school?’
“Because he can’t possibly f**k up black gym shoes can he…
“But it’s man-child… look what the f***ing t**t orders… and for anyone who doesn’t know… B is a boy!!!”
Many mums commented on the post, saying that although her words were amusing, they had hit close to home.
One responded: “Aww doll this is a peach ….. brilliant. Never leave a man in charge of school stuff. Lesson learned.”
Another commented: “I honestly can’t cope. Tell me he at least lied and said they’d sent the wrong ones.”
A third said: “I can’t believe that you actually trusted Man-Child to get this right.”
