People Congratulate Boris Johnson And Carrie Symonds On Healthy Baby Boy

Prime Minister Boris Johnson and wife Carrie Symonds have announced the birth of a “healthy baby boy” at a London hospital earlier this morning.

A spokesman for both Boris Johnson and Carrie Symonds said: “The Prime Minister and Ms Symonds are thrilled to announce the birth of a healthy baby boy at a London hospital earlier this morning. Both mother and baby are doing very well.

“The PM and Ms Symonds would like to thank the fantastic NHS maternity team.”

It has been understood that Johnson was present throughout the birth.

At the end of February, the couple announced that they would be expecting a baby in “early summer” and they became engaged at the end of last year.

Interestingly, they are the first unmarried couple to move into Downing Street together.

Johnson is known to have already fathered five children, whilst this is Symond’s first child.

It was only on Monday that the Prime Minister returned to work after spending time in intensive care with coronavirus. His wife was also suffering symptoms of the virus.

Symonds said over social media that she had spent a “worrying” week in bed, suffering the symptoms of the virus.

To keep his morale up, she sent Johnson baby scans and daily messages during his time in hospital.

People have sent their congratulations to the happy couple over Twitter, some in disbelief that it’s only April and Johnson has had such an eventful year already.
