People are feeling angry after discovering who Hugh Jackman is rumored to be dating now.
Hugh Jackman, the Australian actor best known for his roles in X-Men, Les Misérables, and The Greatest Showman, is not just celebrated for his talent.
He was also well known for his enduring relationship with Deborra-Lee Furness.
However, things took a dramatic turn when in 2023, the pair announced they were splitting.
And now, rumors of Jackman’s new relationship have got the internet feeling furious.
Jackman and Furness met in 1995 on the set of the Australian television show Correlli, where
Jackman, then a fresh-faced actor, found himself smitten with Furness, an established actress and producer.
Despite a 13-year age gap, their chemistry was undeniable, and they married just a year later in 1996.
The couple often spoke about the mutual respect and communication that underpin their marriage.
In their nearly three-decade-long marriage, Jackman and Furness also became proud parents to two adopted children, Oscar and Ava.
Jackman has shared that they chose adoption after struggles with infertility, and their family life remains a cornerstone of his happiness.
However, this image of perfection was shattered in 2023, when Jackman and Furness announced their split.
In a joint statement to People, the pair said that after spending nearly ‘three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,’ they were ‘shifting’ and separating ‘to pursue our individual growth.’
But now Jackman’s reputation as a family man is facing scrutiny.
Speculation about an affair with his former The Music Man co-star Sutton Foster has long swirled, and recent developments suggest infidelity might have played a role in the split. Furness has subtly hinted at this possibility, fueling public interest.
In October 2024, content creator Tasha Lustig shared an Instagram video implying that the alleged romance between Jackman and Foster had been an open secret for years.
In the video, she asked: “Do y’all remember when I told you this man was up to no good?” while displaying a photo of Jackman and Foster.
Lustig claimed Jackman had been running off with the mistress, and her timeline of events suggested the affair occurred during Jackman’s marriage.
Shortly after, Foster filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, and reports now claim she and Jackman are preparing to publicly confirm their relationship.
Adding credibility to the rumors, Furness used her private Instagram account to like the video suggesting Jackman had been unfaithful, seemingly corroborating Lustig’s assertions.
Jackman and Foster performed together in the Broadway revival of The Music Man from 2021 to 2023.
A source told Us Weekly that while suspicions of an offstage relationship were widespread during the show’s run, Furness trusted her husband and their marriage.
The source explained that Deborra-Lee was blindsided when she found out about the affair through the run of the show, adding that it was apparently Broadway’s worst-kept secret, and she was one of the last to know.
Despite the betrayal, Furness reportedly wanted to save their marriage, but Jackman was set on continuing his relationship with Foster.
However, the insider claims Jackman never confessed to the affair.
Although Furness’s Instagram activity appears to support allegations of infidelity, her actions suggest she wants the truth to be known.
A mutual friend of the former couple said: “I think many people were shocked [Hugh] could do this to her, especially as she’s the mother of his children, and they’ve navigated three decades of life together.”
