A petition to strip Tony Blair of his knighthood has been signed by over 400,000 people at the time of writing.

The former prime minister was given the highest possible ranking in the New Years honours list, but a move to revoke it was launched by the TV presenter Angus Scott.

The petition was posted on Change.org on the same day as the list was revealed and it reads: “Tony Blair is to be knighted with the highest possible ranking in the New Years honours list.

Watch Tony Blair call unvaccinated people ‘idiots’ in the clip below…

“Sir Tony, who held the keys to No 10 between 1997 and 2007, will be appointed a Knight Companion of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, the oldest and most senior British Order of Chivalry.”

It continues: “Tony Blair caused irreparable damage to both the constitution of the United Kingdom and to the very fabric of the nation’s society.

“He was personally responsible for causing the death of countless innocent, civilian lives and servicemen in various conflicts. For this alone he should be held accountable for war crimes.”

In conclusion, Scott calls Blair the ‘least deserving person of any public honour,’ and ‘petitions the Prime Minister to petition Her Majesty to have this honour removed’.

Tony Blair Says People Who Aren’t Vaccinated Are ‘Idiots’

In the comments section, several signatories have shared their reasons for signing.

One person said: “Tony Blair should be prosecuted not knighted. Someone like this being honoured shows how corrupt and vile the system is.

“He broke the UK economy, then ran away and left it in the bumbling hands of the utterly incompetent Gordon Brown, but not before he had led us into an illegal war on the false premise of weapons of mass destruction.”

Another added: “He is totally unworthy of a knighthood. Especially of the Order of the Garter.”

A third commented: “One of the most corrupt men getting rewarded by the establishment? Don’t make me laugh! He should be tried for his crimes against humanity first!”
