Piers Morgan has shared his fears for The Queen’s health after she was forced to miss a Remembrance Sunday service in London due to a ‘sprained back’.

The TV presenter recently took to Twitter and questioned whether Buckingham Palace is hiding how ‘serious’ the situation is.

Sharing an article that announced The Queen wouldn’t be at the Cenotaph, Morgan wrote: “There’s something we’re not being told about the Queen’s health, it’s clearly a more serious situation than the Palace is saying.”

Many others shared the journalist’s concerns, with one writing: “I think something’s happened. Look at Prince Charles’s face, at one point he looked like he was holding back tears.”

Another added: “She hasn’t only lost her beloved husband, she lost her corgi, her trusted advisor and her best friend recently. (These were the reported deaths, there might have been more).”

A third said: “Prince Charles’s eyes and his quivering lip made me think you’re right. I do hope you’re not but it isn’t looking good.

“Out of all the Royals, it’s Charles that I’d expect to show emotion. Perhaps it was the absence of both his parents at the parade for the first time.”

Buckingham Palace confirmed The Queen’s absence at the Cenotaph with a statement.

It read: “The Queen, having sprained her back, has decided this morning with great regret that she will not be able to attend today’s Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph.”

Over on the Royal Family’s Twitter account, it was added that a ‘wreath’ would be laid on behalf of the Majesty.

The tweet said: “On behalf of The Queen, a wreath is laid by The Prince of Wales at the Cenotaph as part of the National Service of Remembrance.”

Other members of the Royal family, including His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all still attended the event.

The 95-year-old reportedly hasn’t been at any public events since her stay in hospital last month.

Apparently, the Palace has announced that The Queen has been advised by her doctors to rest for two weeks and only undertake ‘desk-based duties’.
