Piers Morgan has gotten into a mighty Twitter spat with Jedward over the Winston Churchill statue in Parliament Square.
It all started when the twin brothers, who rose to fame on the 2009 series of The X Factor, tweeted that the landmark of the late prime minister has ‘no place in today’s society’.
They wrote: “Get that Winston Churchill statue and f*** it into Piers Morgan’s back garden!”

Morgan then hit back, writing: “A) I’d be honoured to have that statue in my garden.
“B) Churchill saved Britain from the Nazis & contributed more to society every time he breathed than you talentless disrespectful clowns have done in your combined 58 years of gormless tuneless imbecility.”
Last year, the statue came under criticism following anti-racism protests.
Churchill, who served two terms as prime minister, led the country during the Second World War. So when Britain was hailed victorious, he was praised for his war efforts.
Yet some have argued that it shouldn’t be forgotten that he held certain views on ethnicity and race.
This comment on Churchill’s statue comes just after Jedward said ‘Prince Andrew needs locking up’ in another recent Twitter rant.
