Piers Morgan has been slammed over a comment he’s made about Rose Ayling Ellis winning Strictly Come Dancing.
The TV presenter took to Twitter on Saturday night and shared his thoughts on the show making history with its first-ever deaf winner.
He penned: “Tuned into #Strictly for the first time in years and everyone’s crying because everyone’s so perfect.”

Alongside a sick emoji, he then added: “Sorry but…”
After reading his tweet, many people took to the comments and told Morgan he should remember how the programme is ‘educating people on disability and sexuality’.
One Twitter user said: “Perhaps if you had paid a bit more attention you will see that the programme has educated people on disability and sexuality isn’t it nice in these troubled times to actually have something that is so beautiful!”
In agreement, another added: “No Piers, it’s not because everyone is perfect. It’s because Rose is deaf, John is gay, and they’ve both faced more adversities in their life than you ever will.”
“The entire series has been a shining example of joy, togetherness and humanity,” a third wrote. “Everything that you don’t represent.”

A fourth commented: “A deaf person dancing perfectly in time and two men together are pushing back boundaries and stereotypes. It has been quite perfect to be fair. You haven’t watched it for years, they always get higher scores at the end as they don’t decide.
“This isn’t a thing you should attack.”
However, some people took to the comments and said that they agreed the show’s finale was overly sweet.
Defending Morgan, a person said: “I love Strictly but was thinking the same… too much gushing over each other tonight!”
