Plus-sized influencer Gracie Bon has divided opinion after claiming she was body-shamed at Disneyland.

Bon is a Panamanian model and social media influencer known for her curvy figure and body-positive message.

With over 6 million followers on Instagram, she has gained widespread attention for embracing her natural curves and promoting self-love.

Gracie has been open about her personal journey, including significant weight loss, and frequently addresses body-shaming and rumors about cosmetic surgery.

However, she’s recently been the center of an internet scandal after claiming she was body-shamed at a Disney theme park.

Reactions to the video were mixed. Some commenters were unsympathetic, with one saying, “You weren’t born this way, so don’t cry about body-shaming.” Another added, “God didn’t give you that. Your doctor did.”

However, many came to Gracie’s defense. One supporter commented, “You are beautiful just the way God made you! People are just jealous.” Another wrote, “I’m sorry people are so cruel. You are beautiful.”

Bon has previously responded to rumors about undergoing surgery after fans speculated she had a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL).

The Panamanian model, recently addressed the claims on her Instagram, denying the accusations and insisting that her figure is ‘what God gave me.’

Bon shared her frustration over the constant scrutiny of her body. While some fans have supported her, others have suggested that her curves are a result of cosmetic surgery.

In response, Bon posted side-by-side photos showing her transformation after losing weight – previously weighing 21 stone.

One photo featured her in a tan bikini from before her weight loss, and another more recent shot showed her in purple lingerie.

She wrote: “WHAT GOD GAVE ME. You can clearly see in the first picture how my ‘natural’ body looked and GUESS WHAT, in that time they looked at me strangely and got body-shamed too because I look different and dress differently.”

The model went on to say that despite being a plus-size woman, she has the right to wear what she likes, adding: “Sorry I’m not ashamed anymore of my curves and I’ll not hate my body because you hate it.”

She also addressed her critics, saying: “Some of you normalize hating on girls for nothing, just for being themselves. Mind you, the thighs match.”

Despite receiving overwhelming support from her followers, with over 238,000 likes on her post, some continued to question whether she had surgery.

One user commented: “Are you sure it’s not BBL? Show old pics,” while another added: “Nobody hates your body. They hate that you try to spin it like you didn’t alter it and then try to get sympathy.”

Bon had previously mentioned in January that she has never undergone facial surgery, but has not publicly addressed whether she’s had any other cosmetic procedures, despite rumors about breast implants, lip injections, fillers, and Botox.

Bon was also at the center of an online controversy after she expressed that planes ‘should have bigger seats.’

In a recent social media post, she shared her difficulties as a plus-sized woman when flying, particularly in fastening her seatbelt.

Bon remarked: “So today I had a flight and even if I was flying in first class, I couldn’t fit on the airplane – so this is a petition for all the airlines so big girls like me can fly. It’s not my fault I have an a*** this big. Please just make them bigger.”

In her post’s caption, she pleaded, “Can someone give me an ACTUAL solution,” accompanied by a weeping emoji.

Despite the numerous comments on her post, reactions have been mixed.

One commenter harshly advised, “Buy two seats instead of one; clearly, you’ve got plenty of money to afford them.”

Another pointed out, “Easy to say, but once they make seats bigger, there will be fewer seats and higher prices, and then you will complain again and say make it cheaper.”

A third user stated, “Your choice, your problem.”

Fortunately, Bon also received support from many commenters who offered encouraging messages.

One supporter remarked, “It’s so not fair,” while another said, “Omg I wish I had the same problems,” along with a peach emoji.

Another commenter shared, “My butt [is] not even as big as hers and I be needing half of the other seat… my hips be on top of the other person next to me… Seats are just small.”

But now, it’s a trip to Disneyland that has thrust Bon back into the spotlight.

She was enjoying the park with her siblings, but said her day was overshadowed by the behavior of fellow visitors who stared, laughed, and even took photos of her.

In a video, she detailed how people singled her out due to her curvy figure, with many gawking and snapping pictures.

“I was body-shamed during my trip to Disneyland – people wouldn’t stop staring at my curvy body, but it’s what makes me unique,” she wrote. “It’s time to stop body shaming. We’re all different shapes and sizes and that’s what makes us unique.”

In the post, Bon expressed her frustration over the rude behavior she encountered and urged her followers to stop body-shaming others.

“I wanted to have fun with my siblings, but our day was ruined by people making fun of my body. The worst part is they teach their kids to do the same.”

She went on to describe the unpleasant interactions throughout the day: “They kept taking photos of me, gave me dirty looks, or just kept laughing.”

Addressing possible criticism, Bon added: “I know some may think I’m exaggerating or blame me for being a big girl, but this is literally what God gave me, and I have to embrace every part of it. Even if you have a condition or look different, you shouldn’t be bullied for it.”

The influencer closed her message by emphasizing respect: “I would never criticize someone’s appearance. Respect is key. Everyone should feel comfortable, and I was just existing. If you don’t like something, stop hating and keep it to yourself.”
