Prince Charles reportedly has a nickname for Meghan Markle and it’s now been revealed.
Royal commentator, Christine-Marie Liwag Dixon, says that the 72-year-old’s special name for his daughter-in-law is a ‘pretty neat compliment’.
Speaking on The List, the royal expert told viewers: “Meghan Markle hasn’t had an easy time of it since joining the Royal Family. Not only has the press hounded her relentlessly, but she has also said that she felt less than at home in the Royal Family.
“The Royal Family may not have approved of Meghan and Harry stepping down as Senior Royals despite them doing so to escape an environment that was clearly not good for their mental health.
“However it seems that Prince Charles had a lot of respect for Meghan’s resilient nature.”
She continued: “This was evident in the secret nickname he reportedly had for her: ‘Tungsten’.
“As royal correspondent Russell Myers revealed on Lorraine in 2019, Charles nicknamed her after the metal as ‘she is tough and unbending’. Tungsten is the strongest naturally occurring metal on the planet.
“That makes this a pretty neat compliment, all things considered.”
Despite Meghan and Harry’s explosive Oprah Winfrey interview which aired earlier this year, Prince Charles is believed to have a good relationship with the 39-year-old, who is expecting a baby girl this summer.
However, the Prince of Wales has allegedly only met his grandson, Archie, on two occasions.
Last month was his grandson’s second birthday and, to commemorate the date, the Duke of Cornwall shared a post on his Twitter account.
However, Meghan was noticeably missing from the snap and it didn’t go unnoticed by his followers.
